Special News Release 8 Feb 2022


On 4 Feb 2022 Agents with the Major Crimes Task Force conducted a search warrant at a local establishment in Pioneer Township arresting Shaquille Marquis Dawkins for possession of drugs. 

Dawkins was listed as the “renter” of the room Agents entered and located Dawkins and another individual.  The area was secured and Dawkins advised Agents that there was approximately 2 to 3 ounces of methamphetamine there, however it had been stolen from him.

Agents located a plastic bag containing methamphetamine inside a pair of pants, which Dawkins advised were his.  Also located was over $3,000 cash.

The methamphetamine was later weighed, totaling 112.87 grams in the packaging.   

Shaquille Marquis Dawkins, 28, 1029 Frederick Blvd., Akron, OH, was charged with 2nd degree felony possession of drugs.

Dawkins was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail.  Dawkins appeared in Marietta Municipal Court on 6 Feb 2022.  A bond of $15,000 was placed on Dawkins
