On 22 Jan 2022 Deputy Wallace began an investigation into a Suzuki 4 wheeler being stolen from Fairfield Township.
On 22 Jan 2022 Deputy Peters responded to Ellsworth Avenue, Marietta Township, to a domestic violence complaint. Deputy Peters was made aware of two incidents of domestic violence that had occurred in 2021. Brandon S. Longfellow, age 32, 112 Ellsworth Avenue, Apt. C, Marietta, OH, was located and placed under arrest charged with domestic violence.
On 22 Jan 2022 Deputy Aultman was dispatched to State Route 7, Marietta Township, to a report of an assault. It was reported that Bryan Powell had been at a residence and left after an argument. Powell returned and after gaining entry to the residence pushed the victim. Bryan Leon Powell, age 47, 122 Tennis Center Drive, Apt. 43, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest, charged with domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 24 Jan 2022 Deputy Stillson began an investigation in Marietta Township regarding storage building(s) being entered.
On 24 Jan 2022 charges for failure to restrain a dog were filed against Tamela L Barth, age 57, 4685 County Road 9, Newport Township, requesting a summons be issued. On 19 Jan 2022 Deputy H Tornes received notification that Barth’s dog was on the neighboring property.
The following subject(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 24 Jan 2022 to 25 Jan 2022:
William Henry Thomas, 52, Marietta, OH, probation violation, and illegal use or possession of drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
Larry Clark Shaffer, 53, homeless, arson and breaking and entering, both felonies.
There are currently 11 female inmates and 71 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
