WCSO NEWS RELEASES – 24 JAN 2022
On 20 Jan 2022 Sgt. Schwendeman attempted to serve a civil paper at a Marietta Township address. Phillip Jones answered the door and was asked if the subject listed on the civil paper was at the residence and Jones stated they were not. When asked if the subject that is known to reside there was home, Jones stated he did not know that person and that he was the only one there. Jones stated he was there hanging out and would not provide names of the other subjects. Sgt. Schwendeman began investigating the information provided by Jones and at the end of the incident it was determined that Phillip J. Jones, age 32, 250 Zion Ridge Road, Marietta, OH, would be issued a summons to appear in court on a charge of obstructing official business.
On 22 Jan 2022 Deputy Painter began an investigation in Dunham Township in reference to the theft of a Honda Civic.
On 22 Jan 2022 Deputy Wallace completed a traffic crash report for a car/deer accident in Decatur Township.
On 22 Jan 2022 Deputy Peters began an investigation into a subject opening a credit card in another’s name.
The following subject(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail 21 Jan 2022 to 23 Jan 2022:
Jamie Laren Null, 41, Coolville, OH, OVI, a misdemeanor.
Bryan Leon Powell, 47, Pickerington, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Brandon Scott Longfellow, 32, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
There are currently 11 female inmates and 76 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
