On 13 Dec 2021 Deputy Martin began an investigation in Barlow Township regarding a vehicle being entered and items removed.  This case remains under investigation.

On 13 Dec 2021 Sgt. Brown responded to the Reno Par Mar, State Route 7, Marietta Township, in reference to staff reporting they received a fake $20 bill.  Personnel stated a male placed a $20 bill to pay for gas and lottery tickets.  After the transaction occurred and the subject(s) left, the bill was checked for counterfeit, which revealed it to be counterfeit.   On 18 Dec 2021 Sgt. Brown met with subjects that matched the physical description of the suspects in this investigation.   Subjects advised they were unaware the bill was fake and information was received that Sidney J. Walker, 47, 2999 Continental Clny Parkway, Apt. 312, Atlanta, GA.  A charge of counterfeiting was filed on Walker.

On 13 Dec 2021 Deputy Tornes  responded to the corner of Fourth Street and Ohio Street, Waterford Township, to a call of a dog being tied outside a camper at this location.  Deputy Tornes met with Brian and Julie Hess, who produced the dogs for viewing.  The dog kept digging at its skin and shaking its head as if it had an ear infection.  Julie and Brian agreed to allow the dog to be taken to a veterinarian. The veterinarian advised the dog had severe long term allergic dermatitis, and other condition(s).  The veterinarian advised over half the dog’s hair was missing and the dog could possibly have long term damage due to lack of prior treatment.   A summons is being requested for Brian Keith Hess, 54, and Julie M. Hess, 43, Waterford/Beverly, OH, on charges of cruelty to animals. 

On 15 Dec 2021 Deputy Peters conducted an investigation in Lawrence Township at the Lawrence Elementary School regarding damage done at that location. 

On 16 Dec 2021 Deputy Peters began an investigation in Marietta Township in reference to a Polaris four wheeler, a generator and chainsaw being stolen. 

On 18 Dec 2021 Sgt. Schwendeman began an investigation into shots being fired in the Newport Township area.

Deryl Edward Wilson, Jr., 52, Parkersburg, WV, fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor.

Daniel Wayne Goldsmith, 31, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Branden Dwight Ramage, 27, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a felony, and contempt of court (Noble County).

Tommee Lee Garvin, 28, Marietta, OH, OVI, driving under suspension, contempt of court, all misdemeanors, and  possession of drugs, a felony.

Sandra Ruthann Green, 37, Parkersburg, WV, theft of deception and criminal trespass, all misdemeanors.

Matthew Richard Jett, 36, Beverly, OH, contempt of court, a misdemeanor.

Coleton Ray Beagle, 18, New Matamoras, OH, unsafe vehicle , illegal use of drug paraphernalia, reckless operation, speed, 4 counts endangering children, and alcohol under the age of 21, all misdemeanors, and failure to comply, a felony.

Sheldon Dwight Hill, 39, Cutler, OH, driving under suspension, failure to control, probation violation, and 3 counts aggravated menacing, all misdemeanors, and failure to comply, a felony.

Jason Paul Curtis, 39, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Jason Christopher Fleeman, 41, Marietta, OH, 2 counts domestic violence, 1 misdemeanor and 1 felony.

James Lee Way, 51, Waterford, OH, domestic violence, and 2 counts unlawful restraint, both misdemeanors.

Breanna Nicole Keefer, 19, Little Hocking, OH, disrupting public service  and 2 counts of domestic violence.

There are currently 8 female inmates and 63 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
