WCSO NEWS RELEASES FOR 10 DEC 2021
On 5 Dec 2021 Deputies were dispatched to Lowell, OH, regarding subjects in a vehicle yelling and screaming at one another in the Duke and Duchess parking lot. Lt. Parks approached the occupants of the vehicle at which time they began to drive away. Lt. Parks gave commands to the vehicle to stop and the vehicle continued to abscond. An attempt to catch up to the vehicle on SR 60 was unsuccessful as the vehicle began to flee on SR 60. The vehicle driver ignored Sheriff’s Office emergency lights and sirens. Deputies continued to pursue the subject, entering onto I77 where the Ohio State Highway Patrol assisted with stopping the vehicle. The vehicle continued on into West Virginia even though a tire and wheel were off of the vehicle. Wood County, WV Deputies became engaged in the pursuit and was successful in arresting Brett Eric Shank, 53, 306 Front Street, Apt. B, Marietta, OH, and taking him into custody. The driver, Brett Shank, was also observed maneuvering his vehicle towards a deputy sheriff marked cruiser. A warrant was secured through Marietta Municipal Court on charges of assault on a peace officer, failure to comply with order of a peace officer, obstructing official business and reckless operation.
On 6 Dec 2021 Deputies were dispatched to Muskingum Township in reference to subjects fighting.

Madison Leigh Mull, 21, South Point,OH, probation violation, a felony.
Alisa Lynn Clark, 49, Marietta,OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
William Arthur Roush, 27, Mt. Olive, WV, attempted theft.
Frederick Gale McKittrick, 39, Reno, OH, nonsupport of dependents and driving under suspension.
Tytus Lamarr Shields, 33, Parkersburg, WV, 2 counts trafficking in fentanyl, possession of fentanyl, receiving proceeds of an offense subject to forfeiture, 3 counts weapons under disability and receiving stolen property, all felonies.
Fergusson De’Anthohy Harris, 20, homeless, theft of a motor vehicle, a felony.
James Douglas Herko, 65, Marietta, OH, having weapons under disability, a felony, and aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor.
There are currently 9 female inmates and 72 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
