On 6 Nov 2021 Sgt. Brown began an investigation in Adams Township regarding a garage/building being entered and items removed.
On 6 Nov 2021 Deputy Young was dispatched to Dye Street, Newport Township, to a 911 call reporting a verbal argument. It was reported that threats were made about a juvenile by James Benjamin Chambers III. After conducting the investigation it was determined that Chambers would be placed under arrest. Chambers had left the area and attempts to locate him met with legal results. A warrant was requested and issued for Chambers, 31, 20 Dye Street, Apt. 1, Newport, OH, for criminal damaging, domestic violence, and menacing.
On 7 Nov 2021 Lt. Parks responded to Forshey Road, Marietta Township, to a report of a male in the roadway yelling and cussing. Lt. Parks located William Henry Thomas, who apologized for being loud. Thomas emptied his pockets and was in possession of a bowl, which he stated he smoked marijuana out of. An aspirin bottle was located, which he stated he kept his marijuana in, however it was empty. A citation will be issued to Thomas, 52, 30 Coal Run Road, Marietta, OH, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
On 7 Nov 2021 Deputy Tullius began an investigation into damage done to property in Independence Township.

Tracy Bryan Bronson, Jr., 31, Marietta, OH, parole violation, a felony.
There are currently 6 female inmates and 58 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
