On 24 Oct 2021 deputies responded to the Rhino Self Storage, Belpre Township in reference to numerous storage units being entered.

On 24 Oct 2021 Deputy Gainer filed charges for domestic violence on William Michael Grubb, age, 64, 55 Belavista Drive, Marietta, OH.  Grubb was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

On 26 Oct 2021 Deputy Painter issued a citation for speed, 75 mph in a 60 mph zone, to James Hendershot, New Straightsville, OH. 

The following subject(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail on 26 Oct 2021:

Amber Marie Caplinger, age 40, Marietta, OH, fugitive from Justice, a misdemeanor.

Timothy Curtis Nay, age 51, Vincent, OH, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and contempt of court, both misdemeanors,​ and​ theft, a felony.

Brenda Lee Mitchem, age 57, Marietta, OH, aggravated trafficking in drugs and probation violation, both felonies.

Rebecca Dawn Sparks, age 38, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 11 female inmates and 53 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
