On 12 Oct 2021 Deputy Aultman was dispatched to Mount Tom Road, Marietta Township, to a theft investigation. After completing the investigation it was determined that Charles E. Day Jr., 830 Mount Tom Road, Marietta, OH, would be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court on a charge of disorderly conduct.
On 13 Oct 2021 Deputy Tullius was dispatched to 38175 State Route 7, Par Mar #82, Newport Township. Contact was made with store personnel who reported three individuals were in the store on 12 Oct 2021, late evening hours, and stole multiple items. Surveillance video confirmed the information related to Deputy Tullius. After completing the investigation it was determined that charges for theft would be filed on Velinda Kay Mantz, age 43, 265 McCormick Hill Road, New Matamoras, OH, Douglas Allen Hendershot, age 49, 625 Greene Street, Newport, OH, and Domanick Joseph Haught, age 28, 100 Alderman Street, and they will be summoned into Marietta Municipal Court.
On 13 Oct 2021 Deputy Tullius began an investigation into a damaging complaint in Marietta Township. This case remains under investigation.
On 13 Oct 2021 Lt. Parks was dispatched to Ellsworth Avenue, Marietta Township, to a report of Brandon Longfellow yelling at an individual, Madison Martin. After conducting the investigation it was determined that a summons would be requested for Longfellow, age 32, and Martin, age 22, on charges of disorderly conduct.
On 14 Oct 2021 Deputy Tullius responded to Tick Ridge Road in reference to cattle being out and damage done to property on 10 Oct 2021. On 5 Oct 2021 Deputy Tullius responded to the residence on Tick Ridge Road regarding cattle belonging to Paul Sutton, 2096 Tick Ridge Road, being out of their fence and on the neighboring property doing damage. It was reported that this was an ongoing problem. Sutton was advised of the damage and a work plan was created to fix the problem. As of 14 Oct 2021 the problem had not been fixed, therefore a summons is being requested for Sutton on a charge of animals at large.
On 15 Oct 2021 Deputy Wallace patrolled 4th Street at Lee Street, Blennerhassett Township, for a Charles Clinton Carpenter, wanted on numerous warrants, who had reportedly been seen in the area. A male matching the description was seen walking and he advised Deputy Wallace that he was doing some work there and his name was Jeff Brodwell, he did not have his wallet and was unsure of his social security number. Deputy Wallace obtained a recent jail photograph of Carpenter and confirmed that the subject was Charles Carpenter. After a pat down a post it note was found on Carpenter containing suspected methamphetamine. Carpenter was placed under arrest on the warrants and was charged with possession of drugs and falsification. Carpenter was processed at the Washington County Jail.
On 15, 16, 17 Oct 2021 Deputy Painter issued citations for speed violations to Molly A Davidson, age 21, 7030 Pine Tree Avenue, NE, Canton, OH, 74 mph in a 60 mph zone; Anne Shirley Nebeker, age 28, 279 Muskingum Drive, Marietta, OH, 80 mph in a 60 mph zone; Daniel L. Fannin, age 60, 35665 Moore Road, Union Furnace, OH, 76 mph in a 60 mph zone; Charles Edward Stanford, Jr., age 35, 4095 Victory Pkwy. Apt 3, Cincinnati, OH, 75 mph in a 60 mph zone, and failure to reinstate license; Devon Caleb Bowling, age 23, 138 Hamline Avenue, Zanesville, OH, 75 mph in a 60 mph zone; Chad Lee Brookover, age 39, 250 Mill Branch Road, Belpre, OH, 80 mph in a 55 mph zone; and Melissa Dawn Lewandowski, age 41, 301 Russell Street, Pittsburgh, PA, 79 mph in a 60 mph zone.
On 17 Oct 2021 Deputy Painter was patrolling and observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed. A radar readout verified the driver going 45 mph in a 35 mph zone. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle, driven by Chelsey Boling. Boling advised she had no driver’s license, which was confirmed. Chelsey L. Boling, age 18, 712 Washington Square, Marietta, OH, was issued a citation for speed, and driving without an operator’s license. After completing the investigation it was determined that a summons would be requested for Boling on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of drugs and underage possession of alcohol.
