On 30 Sept 2021 Deputy Tullius began an investigation in Warren Township regarding tools being stolen.  This case remains under investigation.

On 30 Sept 2021 deputies began an investigation into domestic violence.  George Dodrill, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and processed into the Washington County Jail.

On 3 Oct 2021 Deputy Peters responded to Main Street, Salem Township, to a report of Melinda Offenberger assaulting an individual. After completing the investigation it was determined that Melinda Sue Offenberger, age 39, 376 Offenberger Road, Whipple, OH, would be placed under arrest and charged with assault.  Offenberger was transported to the Washington County Jail.   

The following subject(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail between 1 Oct and 3 Oct 2021:

Ricky Anthony Scarffol, age 28, Parkersburg, WV, felonious assault, a felony, assault and 2 counts criminal mischief, all misdemeanors.

Melinda Sue Offenberger, age 39, Whipple, OH, assault, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 9 female inmates and 73 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
