WCSO NEWS RELEASES FOR 27 SEPT 2021


On 24 Sept 2021  Deputy Stillson was dispatched to 165 Starlite Drive, Lot 29, Marietta Township, to a report of Brandon Gibbs destroying the home. The residence was observed in disarray with a table knocked down and items around it broken.  A phone and television were also broken.  A summons is being requested for Brandon Lee Gibbs, age 28, 119 N. Hart Street, Apt. 22, Marietta, OH, on a charge of criminal damaging.  

On 24 Sept 2021 Deputy Stillson was dispatched to the Oriana House, 27830 SR 7, Marietta Township, in reference to residents of the facility being engaged in drug activity.  An investigation into methamphetamine was being conducted at the establishment.  During the investigation it was determined that Kyle West was to get methamphetamine while on work leave and bring it back to sell to Jason Blackstone and Derric Blanchard.  Derric Lindley Blanchard, age 31, Cambridge, OH, and Jason Christopher Blackstone, age 24, Wooster, OH, were arrested and charged with attempted possession of drugs.  Kyle Dalton West, age 23, Zanesville, OH, was arrested  and charged with trafficking in drugs.  All three subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail.

On 25 Sept 2021 Deputy Young was dispatched to Braun Road, Belpre Township, to a report of Michael Miller destroying a security camera and threatening to harm a female at that location.  Prior to Deputy Young arriving, Miller left the residence and was stopped by a Belpre Police Department patrolman.   Contact was made at the residence where Deputy Young was advised that Miller had returned to the residence after being out drinking with a friend.  The female and Miller became engaged in a verbal argument.  It was also reported that Miller had disarmed the security camera.  Miller then locked the female out of the residence and would not allow her inside, however the friend allowed her entry.  Miller then exited the residence and tore the security camera off the wall, and pushed the female against her car and threatened to kill her and destroy the car.  Miller made other derogatory threats towards the victim before he left the area on his motorcycle.  Contact with Michael Miller was made and he denied anything physical took place, however he did admit to a verbal argument.  Michael Phillip Miller, age 54, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.  Miller was processed into the Washington County Jail.

Kyle Dalton West, age 23, Zanesville, OH, parole violation and trafficking in drugs, both felonies.

Jason Christopher Blackstone, age 24, Woodsfield, OH, parole violation and attempted possession of drugs, both felonies.

Christopher Scott Holder, age 36, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Murvin Lee Morrow, III, age 32, Hilliard, OH, telecommunication harassment, a misdemeanor.

Shawn Seyler McClead, age 28, Belpre, OH, receiving stolen property and failure to reinstate operator’s license, both misdemeanors.

Michael Phillip Miller, age 53, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Ryan Holden Phillips, age 54, Cutler, OH, aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 12 female inmates and 86 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
