On 21 Sept 2021 Deputy Gainer responded to Beach Drive, Belpre Township, to a report that Charles Persinger threatened to kill two ladies that reside near him.  The subjects reported that Charles was riding his bicycle on the road past one of their campers when he called them derogatory names and cursed at them. They further advised Charles told them he would “slit their throats”.  The lady asked Charles to repeat what he had said to them, and he told them he would kill them tonight.  Other witnesses reported Charles yelling at the two ladies.  The ladies stated Charles returned to his camper at lot 16 after this incident.  Deputy Gainer attempted to make contact with Charles at his camper to continue the investigation.  Deputy Gainer knocked several times and a male subject could be heard yelling, “stop knocking on the (explicit) door”.  The male was informed that it was the Sheriff’s Office knocking and that he needed to come open the door.  Charles refused to comply with the order stating “I don’t give a (explicit), you got a warrant, (explicit) off”. Deputy Gainer requested and received  a warrant  through Marietta Municipal Court for 2 counts of aggravated menacing and 1 count obstructing official business on Charles Edward Persinger, age 33, 2800 Beach Drive, Lot 16, Belpre, OH.  

On 22 Sept 2021 deputies responded to 160 Arends Ridge Road, Muskingum Township to a report of a domestic incident.  Deputies met with Jeremey Miller, who stated his ex-girlfriend came to the residence to pick up one of the children.  Jeremey states while there she started yelling at him for no reason, and he stated there were no threats or violence.  Deputies met with the female that explained Jeremey was upset with her and started yelling at her.  She stated Jeremey grabbed ahold of her arms and pushed her away causing her to fall back onto some landscaping blocks. The lady had marks on her consistent with her story.  Jeremey Robert Miller, age 41, was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence.

Trent Dwight Mason, age 32, Marietta, OH, aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs and OVI, all felonies.

Andrew Robert Johnston, age 42, Marietta, OH, aggravated trafficking in drugs, aggravated possession of drugs, trafficking in fentanyl, possession of fentanyl, all felonies.

Cody Allen Dingey, age 33, McConnelsville, OH, probation violation, a felony.

There are currently 13 female inmates and 93 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
