On 18 Aug 2021 Sgt. Farrell filed charges of failing to verify current residence against Roy James Campbell, III, age 34.  Campbell has been required to register his residence with the Sheriff’s Office since 2011.  A warrant was requested through Marietta Municipal Court.

On 20 Aug 2021 Deputy Hall began an investigation into the theft of medication.  This case remains under investigation.

On 20 Aug 2021 Sgt. Johnson responded to 35 Heeter Road, Newport, OH, to a reported domestic violence incident.  Lisa Greenwood reported her son, Mitchell Greenwood, had assaulted her.   Mitchell began throwing misc. items at Lisa, as well as grabbing Lisa by the shoulder and pushing her.  Mitchell also began screaming threats of physical harm at Lisa.  Mitchell left the residence, however came back, stating he did have a trash bag but did not strike Lisa with anything.  Mitchell Lee Greenwood, age 36, Newport, OH, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and aggravated menacing.  Greenwood was processed into the Washington County Jail.

On 21 Aug 2021 Deputy Painter was patrolling State Route 550 when he observed a vehicle with an expired registration.  A check through dispatch revealed the registration had expired.  A traffic stop was conducted, identifying the driver as Thomas M. Wussick.   Wussick had bloodshot and glazed eyes, along with slurred speech.  When asked if he had been drinking, he stated one on Thursday, and he did this date too.  Wussick was asked to submit to a field sobriety test, which he performed poorly on.  Wussick was transported to the Ohio State Highway Patrol barracks for a BAC.  Thomas Mason Wussick, age 19, 1820 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, OH, was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence and expired plates. Wussick was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

On 21 Aug 2021 Deputy Tullius was advised that a young child was missing in Warren Township.  A witness stated the child walked down a driveway nearby and contact was made with Rhonda Clark who stated her grandchild was missing.  Another family member advised the child was safe and not missing.  Rhonda Deann Clark, age 45, 1685 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with inducing panic, and processed into the Washington County Jail.

On 21 Aug 2021 Deputy Painter was patrolling State Route 550 when he observed a vehicle with an equipment violation.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, Anthony J. Lucas, appeared to have bloodshot and glassy eyes.  An odor of alcohol was also detected on his person.  When asked if he had been drinking Lucas indicated he had not been by shaking his head.  Lucas agreed to a PBT and tested 0.178.  Lucas was transported to the Ohio State Highway Patrol barracks to complete a BAC.  Anthony James Lucas, age 42, 320 Cole Coffman Road, Marietta, OH, was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs and taillight/rear plate light violation, and processed into the Washington County Jail.

James Travis Layne, age 37, Belpre, OH, fugitive from justice, a misdemeanor.

Matthew Wayne Rosier, age 32, Beverly, OH, possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, possession of drugs, theft without consent and breaking and entering, all felonies.

Glinda Gay Andrew, age 43, St. Mary’s, WV, 3 counts driving under suspension, fictitious plates, illegal use or possession of drugs, all misdemeanors.

Mitchell Lee Greenwood, age 36, Newport, OH, domestic violence and aggravated menacing, both misdemeanors.

Thomas Mason Wussick, age 19, Marietta, OH, driving while under the influence and expired plates, both misdemeanors.

Rhonda Deann Clark, age 45, Marietta, OH, inducing panic, a misdemeanor.

Anthony James Lucas, age 42, Marietta, OH, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs and taillight/rear plate light violation, both misdemeanors.

Cooper James Parrott, age 19, Willard, OH, disorderly conduct and prohibitions, alcohol under 21, both misdemeanors.

Deane Allen Beck Jr., age 41, Marietta, OH, resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and domestic violence, a felony.

Cory William Saunders, age 30, McConnelsville, OH, obstructing official business, a misdemeanor, and contempt of court.

There are currently 21 female inmates and 93 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
