On 2 Aug 2021 Deputy Painter began an investigation into a possession of drugs incident. This case remains under investigation.

On 5 Aug 2021 Deputy Gainer began an investigation at the Country Corner Store, State Route 550, Cutler, OH, in reference to a breaking and entering.

On 5 Aug 2021 Deputy Tornes received a complaint that a dog belonging at 2478 Waterford Road, Marietta, OH, was on nearby properties and was acting aggressive.  Jonathan D. Hedrick was advised and he admitted his dog broke the tether and became loose.  Hedrick was then able to get the dog restrained.  A summons is being requested for Hedrick on a charge of failing to restrain his dog. 

On 5 Aug 2021 Deputy Stillson began an investigation into a possible domestic violence incident.  After completing the investigation it was determined the case would be unfounded.  Case closed.

On 5 Aug 2021 Jessica Biehl came on station to report a violation of a temporary protection order by Allen Bernard Biehl.  On or about 23 Jul 2021 Jessica picked up her juvenile child from 115 Rummer Road, Marietta, Ohio.  Upon arriving where Jessica was staying, she found two handwritten notes in the diaper bag which she identified as being from her husband, Allen Biehl.    Allen Biehl became aware of the pending charges against him and turned himself in at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office where he was then taken to Marietta Municipal Court.

On 8 Aug 2021 Deputy Crum issued a citation to Jalen P King, Parkersburg, WV, for speed, 90 mph in a 60 mph zone. 

On 9 Aug 2021 Deputy Stillson began an investigation into a damaging complaint.  The victim in the incident refused to have charges filed.  Cas closed.

The following subject(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail on 11  Aug 2021:

Isaiah Thomas Rutter, age 31, homeless, contempt,  driving under suspension and contempt of court, all misdemeanors.

Marjae Leigha Striblin, age 35, Belpre, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 25 female inmates and 104 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
