On 27 Jun 2021 Deputy Peters was dispatched to Park Avenue, New Matamoras, OH, to a report of a male subject walking to the front and back door of a residence beating on the door. Joshua Ewers was located behind a home, and a strong odor of alcohol was coming from his person. Ewers was advised that he was at the wrong residence, where he was attempting to open a window. Ewers, age 32, 3585 SR 260, New Matamoras, OH, was charged with criminal mischief and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. A probation holder was also placed on Ewers.
On 27 Jun 2021 Deputy Aultman was dispatched to a report of a runaway juvenile. After completing the investigation juvenile charges for unruly were filed on the child.
On 27 Jun 2021 Deputy Painter was on patrol when a truck was observed travelling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was confirmed at 88 mph in a 55 mph zone via radar. A traffic stop was conducted, identifying the driver as Luis Miguel Ramirez Hernandez. Hernandez’s eyes were glassy and blood shot, and a strong odor of alcohol was detected. Hernandez agreed to a breath test, testing .191. Hernandez, age 32, 16670 State Route 60, Lowell, OH, was placed under arrest for speed and OVI. Hernandez was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
On 27 Jun 2021 Deputy Crum was dispatched to a report of domestic violence involving a juvenile. After completing the investigation juvenile charges for unruly were filed on the child.
On 29 Jun 2021 Deputy Tullius began an investigation into a burglary. This case remains under investigation.
On 29 Jun 2021 Sgt. Johnson began an investigation into a theft and burglary. This case remains under investigation.
On 29 Jun 2021 Deputy Tornes began an investigation into a dog running at large in the city of Marietta. This case remains under investigation.
