Special News 17 Jun 2021

On 16 Jun 2021 Agents with the Major Crimes Task Force and Washington County Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 112 Knox Street, Apt. 23, Marietta, Washington County, Ohio.

Agents encountered Mageed Dunor, Heather Thompson and three other subjects.

After securing the residence, a small baggie containing an off-white substance was observed on a window seal, in the immediate vicinity of Mageed Dunor.  The baggie was in plain view and later found to weigh 9.75 grams, testing positive for fentanyl.

Further searching the area revealed digital scales, a food blender with a large amount of powdery white residue (consistent with the contents in the previous baggie).  Also located were syringes, multiple 1”X1” baggies, with trace amounts of residue, cotton balls with residue, a large amount of Narcan, and 2 spoons with residue.

As a result of the search warrant Mageed Varnie Dunor, age 25, 3576 Astor Avenue, Columbus, OH, was arrested for possession of drugs, a 3rd degree felony, and Heather Dawn Thompson, age 32, 112 Knox Street, Apt. 23, Marietta, OH,  was arrested for permitting drug abuse, a 5th degree felony.

Both Dunor and Thompson are being held in the Washington County Jail pending their appearance in Marietta Municipal Court on 17 Jun 2021. Dunor is now being held on $10,000 bond, and Thompson was released on a PR bond.

As a result of the arrest the State of WV Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation parole Services placed a holder on Dunor with no bond.
