On 12 Jun 2021 Deputy Painter observed a vehicle on SR 7 travelling at a high rate of speed.  The vehicle radar revealed the driver was going 80 mph in a posted 60 mph zone.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Mitchell Allen.  When speaking with Allen an odor of raw marijuana was detected.  When asked if there was marijuana in the vehicle he stated no, but there had been.  After inquiring as to why it was still being detected, Allen stated that he did have some under his seat.  The search revealed a zip lock bag with 4.53 grams of marijuana, along with a device used for “dabs”.  Additional paraphernalia was also located in the vehicle.  A citation was issued for speed, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia to Mitchell Ryan Allen, age 18, 111 Allencrest Lane, Washington, WV.

On 12 Jun 2021 Deputy Painter observed a vehicle drive left of center, return to the correct lane, and then cross the fog line.  A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was identified as Taylor Griffith.  An odor of an alcoholic beverage could be detected on Griffith, as well as her eyes being glazed.  Griffith was asked if she had been drinking and she stated three drinks.  A portable breath test was given with the results being .111 PBT.  Griffith was transported for a BAC test, with the results being .094.  Taylor Ann Griffith, age 56, 1201 Grindstone Drive, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest for OVI, and driving in marked lanes, and she was processed in the county jail.

On 14 Jun 2021 Deputies Young and Stillson was dispatched to 975 Beebe Road, Waterford, Ohio, to a report of Anthony Eltringham being drunk.  It was reported that Eltringham had been drinking heavily all day.  Eltringham was arguing with a subject known to him and at one point made threats of harming himself.  It was apparent when speaking with Eltringham that he was under the influence of alcoholic beverages, which he admitted to.  The subjects were advised of disorderly conduct charges should the conduct continue.  Approximately 25 minutes after leaving the home, deputies were called back, stating Eltringham was yelling at the caller and the children, and acting aggressive.  Eltringham stated he had gone upstairs to tell everyone good night, denying that he was instigating any more arguments.  Anthony Steve Eltringham, age 46, was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct cease and desist and transported to the Washington County Jail.
