On 26 Feb 2021 Deputy Gainer began an investigation into a dog bit incident in Reno. This case remains under investigation.
On 28 Feb 2021 at approximately 2001 hours Sgt. Parks was dispatched to 4345 Buchanan Road, Waterford, OH, to a report that Terry Smith and Donald Jox had violated a protection order on 24 Feb 2021. Sabrina Harra reported that she was attending a Waterford basketball game at 19700 State Route 339, Waterford, OH. Harra stated she entered the gym and joined an individual known to her. Harra stated she did not realize at first that Smith and Jox were in attendance, however explained she would have walked right behind them to get to where she would eventually be seated. Harra reported that Smith has attempted to text/call her since the initial incident. When asked if she felt that Smith and Jox knew she was there, she advised they did, and neither of them left the game. Sgt. Parks spoke with the individual that Harra had joined at the game, who stated she arrived before Harra did, and was not sure if Smith and Jox were there before her or not, but soon realized they were there before Harra arrived. Deputies met with Donald Alton Jox, age 63 and Terry Lee Smith, age 53, and they were placed under arrest for violation of a protection order. Both Smith and Jox were transported to the Washington County Jail.
