WCSO NEWS RELEASES FOR 19 OCT 2020


On 15 Oct 2020 at approximately 1837 hours the Little Hocking Volunteer Fire Department Squad, along with Deputy Young and Lt. McPeek, were dispatched to 53 McComas Drive, Little Hocking, to a possible drug overdose.  Jill Bolden, age 39, appeared to be under the influence of something, however she was okay.  While begin checked out medically, officers were given a small baggie of suspected burnt marijuana and two marijuana smoking pipes.  Bolden admitted she had been drinking and that the pipes were hers.  A citation is being issued to Bolden for possession of marijuana paraphernalia. 

On 16 Oct 2020 Deputy Aultman met with Mark Eaton, Mead Street, Belpre, Ohio, in reference to a missing tractor.  This case remains under investigation.

On 17 Oct 2020 Deputy Painter began an investigation into a counterfeit bill being passed.  This case remains under investigation.

On 17 Oct 2020 Deputy Aultman met with Nissa Griffin, Pleasant Ridge Road, Marietta, OH, in reference to a missing license plate.  This case remains under investigation.

On 18 Oct  2020  Lt. Hunter and Sgt.  McKee responded to 176 Dana Road, Newport, OH, to an incident of domestic violence.  Brenda Earley reported an argument with her son, Zackariah Earley, at the residence.  The argument escalated to the point of Zackariah striking the hood of Brenda’s vehicle.  Zackariah and Brenda further argued after the incident with her car in which Zackariah picked up random objects and started throwing them at Brenda.  Brenda then retreated to the back of her vehicle at which time Zackariah chased her down and punched her in the head with a closed fist.  Zackariah admitted to having an argument and punching his mother in the side of the head. Zackariah Harold Earley, age 31, 176 Dana Run Road, Newport, OH, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and  transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

On 18 Oct 2020 Sgt. McConnell was dispatched to 27400 State Route 7, Lot 50, Park 3, Marietta, OH,  to a report of argument coming from this location.  Contact was made with Brenda K. Dinickle and Duane M. Roe who advised they were in a verbal argument with two other individuals, however nothing physical took place.  Contact was made with the other individuals who stated the argument was about Roe abusing Dinickle, and that it had gotten worse after they met with law enforcement.  Sgt. McConnell returned to the residence and located Dinickle with blood on her shirt, where she then reported Roe had punched her in the head, bit her, choked her and pulled her hair after Sgt. McConnell had left.   Roe had started to remove Dinickle’s belongings to the porch and was punching holes in the walls.  Roe denied any of the physical violence but did state he moved some of her belongings to the porch.  Duane Merlyn Roe, age 52, 27400 State Route 7, Lot 50, Marietta, OH,  was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Haley Ashton Jett, age 29, 171 Millbranch Road, Belpre, OH,  breach of recognizance and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

Justin Dean Shutts, age 29, 819 Front Street, Marietta, OH,  probation violation and driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, both misdemeanors.

Jessica Allen Riley, age 38, 104 Riley Drive, Apt. 10, Marietta, OH,  endangering children, 2 counts driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, driving under suspension, no seatbelt, hit skip, and improper lane change, both misdemeanors.

Jason Homer Malone, age 42, 6615 Cleveland Road, Ravenna, OH, theft, a misdemeanor,  and parole violation, a felony.

Niesha Nicole Sheets, age 30, 194 High Street, Vincent, OH,  probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Michael Anthony Bowman, age 36, 229 Franklin Street, Marietta, OH,  theft, a misdemeanor.

Zackariah Harold Earley, age 31, 176 Dana Run Road, Newport, OH,  domestic violence, a felony.

Jordyn Marie Menking, age 29, 615 17th Street, Parkersburg, WV,  no operator’s license, failure to stop at a stop bar at flashing red light and driving under suspension, all misdemeanors.

Kenton Ryan Barker, age 22, 615 17th Street, Parkersburg, WV,  possession of drugs, a felony, and unauthorized use of a vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Duane Merlyn Roe, age 52, 27400 State Route 7, Lot 50, Marietta, OH,  domestic violence, a felony.

There are currently 23 female inmates and 75 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
