On7 Sep 2020 Nathan Modlin, Gantsville Road, Little Hocking, OH, reported a welder removed from his property.  This case remains under investigation.

On 7 Sep 2020 Crystal Thomas, 204 Tennis Center Drive, Marietta, OH, reported 2 cell phones taken from her property.

On 10 Sep 2020 Deputy Kehl  was dispatched to 6805 Shay Ridge Road, New Matamoras, OH for a welfare check.  Deputy Kehl met with Margaret Russell and she stated she was doing okay.  Daniel Montgomery walked towards Deputy Kehl, with Russell stating she received two injuries from Daniel yesterday (9/9/20).  Deputy Kehl did observe the noted injuries.  Montgomery confirmed a verbal argument with Russell, but denied anything physical.  Daniel Melvin Montgomery, age 68, was placed under arrest for domestic violence.  Montgomery was transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 12 Sep 2020 Deputy Kehl began an investigation into stolen tools.  This case remains under investigation.

On 12 Sep 2020 Sgt. Carr began an investigation into a possible theft/scam involving English Bulldog puppies. This case remains under investigation

On 12 Sep 2020 Sgt. Parks was dispatched to  Warren Township to a report of a male being drunk and attempting to gain entry to the residence after he had been locked out. Joseph Wheeler came to the residence, along with a friend.  Due to people at the residence being intoxicated, they were all staying the night.  At around midnight Wheeler and his friend were arguing with each other.  After being told to quiet down Wheeler became saying inappropriate things and was even offered a taxi cab paid for to leave.   Wheeler was then locked out of the home in which he began beating on the door.  Joseph Dale Wheeler, age 34, 16758 Park Avenue, Caldwell, OH,  was placed under arrest and charged with disorderly conduct. Wheeler was transported to the Washington County Jail.

Joseph Dale Wheeler, age 34, 16758 Park Avenue, Caldwell, OH,  disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.

George Alan Barnhart, age 57, 1813 17^th Street, Parkersburg, WV, failure to reinstate, possession of drug, contempt of court, fictitious plates, and open container, all misdemeanors.

Austina Shae McCartney, age 26, 807 Virginia Avenue, Parkersburg, WV,  receiving stolen property, a felony.

There are currently 18 female inmates and 75 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
