On 24 Aug 2020 Deputy Hockenberry was dispatched to Dollar General, SR 550, Vincent, to a report of shoplifting. This case remains under investigation.

On 25 Aug 2020 Sgt. Carr began an investigation into a counterfeit bill that was passed.  This case remains under investigation.

On 26 Aug  2020 at approximately 0445 hours Deputy Young and Sgt. Parks were dispatched to 1245 Whealdon Road to Charlotte Westbrook reporting her husband, Donald Westbrook, had pushed her.  Deputy Young met with Donald who advised the pair had been arguing for a few days.  Donald stated he attempted to shut the door and it hit Charlotte causing her to fall.  Charlotte stated they had been arguing the last several days and when he arrived home this morning they continued their argument from the previous date.  She states she was in the doorway of the bedroom and Donald used one hand to push her and one to shut the door.  She states she fell backward at that time.  Donald Lee Westbrook, age 60, 1254 Whealdon Road, Cutler, OH, on a charge of domestic violence.

On 26 Aug 2020 Deputy Peters assisted the Belpre City Police Dept. with an investigation.

On 26 Aug 2020 Deputy Aultman was dispatched to 336 Orchard Drive, Little Hocking, to a report of Matthew Foraker being on the property and having an active warrant out of Athens County, as well as being caught shoplifting. Upon arresting Foraker on the outstanding warrant it was determined that he had merchandise from the store which was not paid for, totaling $26.54.  Foraker, age 36, Campus Drive, Belpre, OH,  was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail for theft and resisting arrest and the warrant from Athens County.

On 26 Aug 2020 Deputy Painter  was dispatched to 2071 Cave Hill Road to speak with a subject regarding Richard Young being assaulted and held against his will.  Young reported that he had been assaulted by a Terry Pierce.  Deputy Painter contacted Pierce and he  admitted to assaulting Young at his (Terry) residence.  Pierce  stated this was due to finding Young in his home with his daughter’s laptop and believed him to be stealing it.   Pierce then changed the events which led to him assaulting Young, stating Young was invited to his residence and when he arrived he confronted Richard about a previous theft.  Terry Allen Pierce, age 45, 1785 Moody Ridge Road, Vincent, OH, was placed under arrest for assault and obstructing justice, and was transported to the Washington County Jail.

Stephen Lee Houghton, age 37, homeless,  parole violation, a felony.

Matthew Ronald Foraker, age 36, 1003 Campus Drive, Belpre, OH, contempt, theft, resisting arrest, theft without consent and criminal trespass, all misdemeanors.

Terry Allen Pierce, age 45, 1785 Moody Ridge Road, Vincent, OH, assault and obstructing justice, both misdemeanors.

Vincent Michael Lucente,  age 36, 1954 Woodruff Drive, Painesville, OH, driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.

Nathan Thomas Pyke, age 29, 523 Second Street, Apt. 2, Marietta, OH, parole violation, a felony.

Thomas Edward Rowan, age31, 807 Mitchell Avenue, Apt. 21, Beverly, OH,  probation violation, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 19 female inmates and 90 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
