On 20 Aug 2020 Sgt.  Carr responded to 27400 State Route 7, Lot 50, Marietta, Ohio, to a domestic complaint. Sgt. Carr made contact with Duane Roe, and immediately detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Sgt. Carr then met with Brenda Dinickle. Dinickle stated that Roe had recently experienced a loss  and had been drinking all night and all day.  Dinickle stated Roe broke a window last night and kept his music very loud.  When asked why 911 was called, Dinickle stated she had enough of his (Roe’s) behavior, and was leaving. Dinickle went on to state that when she went to gather some items, he threw her on the bed and would not let her up.  A juvenile gave assistance to Dinickle and Roe then left the home.  Duane Merlyn Roe, age 51, 27400 State Route 7, Lot 50, Marietta, OH,  was placed under arrest and charged with felony domestic violence.  He was transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 20 Aug 2020 Deputy Hill received a warrant from the Parkersburg Police Department, Parkersburg, WV, for the arrest of Keyshawn D. Gates, 1233 Laffer Avenue, Akron, OH, a Washington County Jail inmate.  The information on the warrant was compared to the information given by Gates upon incarceration into the Washington County Jail.  This information was found to be a match and Gates was charged with being a fugitive from justice.

Ryan Michael Efaw, age 24, 170 Charles Street, Newport, OH, operating a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Duane Merlyn Roe, age 51, 27400 State Route 7, Lot 50, Marietta, OH,  domestic violence, a felony.

Mathew Steven McComas, age 41, 104 Grandview Avenue, Apt. 3, Marietta, OH,  unauthorized use of motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

Miranda Jane Long, age 27, 1981 Benedict Road, Fleming, OH, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 20 female inmates and 105 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
