On 30 Jul 2020 Deputy Peters began an investigation for Boca Construction, Norwalk, OH, in reference to stolen items at a job site in Aurelius Township. This case remains under investigation.

On 31 Jul 2020 Deputy Hockenberry responded to 1278 Bender Road, Marietta, Ohio, in reference to a warrant attempt.  Nikki Duncan was located and an active warrant was confirmed.  Duncan advised she had needles in her purse.  Deputy Hockenberry located 3 needles and 2 baggies with residue. Another needle was located in Duncan’s purse upon entry into the jail.  Nikki L. Duncan, age 38, 3701 Plum Run Road, Waterford, OH, was arrested on the warrant and charged with possessing drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia.

On 31 Jul 2020 Deputy Young met with Leann Welch, 172 Briggs Hill Road, Belpre, OH, in reference to a breaking and entering where numbers items of value were stolen.  This case remains under investigation.

On 31 Jul 2020 Lt. McPeek was dispatched to 206 Upper Fifteenmile Creek Road, Wingett Run, Ohio, to a report that Homer Fry Sr. was breaking things and was in Homer Fry Jr’s face.  Homer Jr. showed Lt. McPeek a large dent in the hood of his vehicle and a broken surveillance camera in the back of the home.  Homer Sr. admitted to the damaging due to Homer Jr. walking on his vehicle and being disrespectful.  Homer Jr. denied walking on the vehicle.   A summons is being requested for Homer M. Fry Jr., age 36, for obstructing official business, and Homer M. Fry Sr., age 55, for criminal damaging.

 Derek Eugene Boice, age 33. 489 Sandhill Road, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, 2 counts, both misdemeanors

Skylar Michael Paul, age 27, 1314 Glendale Road, Marietta, OH, resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, parole violation, obstructing official business and inducing panic, all felonies.

John Aaron Givens, age 39, 100 Linwood Avenue, Apt. B, Marietta, OH,  criminal mischief, a misdemeanor.

Jaclyn Virginia Caldwell, age 30, 713 Boso Avenue, Ravenswood, WV, breaking and entering, a felony.

Joseph Adam McKitrick, age 40, 550 Ewing Road, Reno, OH,  criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor.

Shawn Eugene Covey, age 43, 713 Green Street, Apt. A, Marietta, OH,  resisting arrest, agg. menacing, disorderly conduct, 2 counts, all misdemeanors.

There are currently 15 female inmates and 87 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
