On 22 Jul 2020 Deputy Allender met with Vernon Paul, Cedar Ridge Road, Lowell, OH, to a report of someone breaking into his home.  This case remains under investigation.

On 22 Jul 2020 while investigating a burglary complaint that occurred on State Route 7, Apt. B.  Deputy Young met with Taylor James Brown, in order to interview him.  Brown stated that he was not involved and after further questioning Brown stated he was willing to apologize to the victim and pay back the money, all while maintaining his innocence.  Brown eventually admitted to his involvement.  Brown was able to return the money to the victim, who in turn did not wish to pursue charges against Brown.  Brown, age, 21, 27323 State Route 7, Apt. B, Marietta, OH, was arrested and transported to the Washington County Jail on a charge of obstructing official business.

On 23 Jul 2020 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Communication Center received a 911 call from a cell phone.  The female caller reported her boyfriend would not stop trying to attack her, and she needed help fast. The female caller advised she was on Veto Rd. near Tadpole Run Road and hung up.  911 dispatchers made numerous attempts to re-connect with the caller with negative results.  A 911 dispatcher was eventually able to get the female to answer the call and when they stated who they were the female stated “it’s the ********** Sheriff’s Office” and hung up again.  Deputies responded quickly to the area with lights/sirens.   Deputy Kehl met with a female, identified as Andrea Beaver walking along the road.  Beaver denied any assault or attempted assault had taken place, and that she only wanted the Sheriff’s Office to get her truck back from her boyfriend and thought that if she called 911 her boyfriend would return the truck.  Andrea Nicole Beaver, age 34, 1080 Walsh Road, Vincent, OH, disrupting public service, a felony, and inducing panic, a misdemeanor.  Beaver was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

The following subject(s) were processed into the Washington County Jail between Thursday 23 Jul 2020 and Friday 24 Jul 2020:

Shane Allen Bailey, age 35, 509 Stratton Street, Logan, WV, criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

Francis Ray Delancy, age 35, 175 Harris Street, Newport, OH, failure to register a dog and failure to confine/restrain a dog, both misdemeanors.

Andrew Nicole Beaver, age 34, 1080 Walsh Road, Vincent, OH, disrupting public service, a felony, and inducing panic, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 12 female inmates and 65 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
