On 14 May 2020 Eric Christopher Anderson, age 32, 23 Cherry Street, Vincent, OH, was arrested on a felony warrant for theft.  On 17 Feb 2020 Deputy Hall responded to Citizens Bank, Vincent, where it was reported that Anderson had signed and cashed checks at that had previously been deposited into another account.  Previously, Anderson came into the bank with several payroll checks (dating back to January 2019) and signed and cashed the checks. The bank began receiving the checks back as fraudulent, as they had been deposited into a bank when they were originally written. The checks totaled approximately $1880.00.  Anderson was arrested in February 2020 and advised the deputy sheriff that he thought he was being arrested for cashing Honest Fred’s Flooring checks that were his wife’s.  A warrant was then requested and issued for Anderson.

On 25 May 2020 Deputies Gainer and Allender met with Edward Ellyson in reference to a stolen Chevy Silverado 1500 truck.  This case remains under investigation.

On 26 May 2020 at approximately 0134 hours Sgt. Parks was dispatched to Little Hocking to meet with Michelle Smith in reference to her being assaulted by Phillip Singer.  Smith had obvious bruising and other injuries to her face.  Smith stated that Singer had left and was gone for some time and when he returned they began arguing about him not coming home.  Smith stated when they were driving home Singer used his right hand to strike her.  Deputy Aultman made contact with Singer who stated he was driving home and reached out at Smith with his right hand and “flung” at her.  Singer stated he may have smacked her.  Phillip Zachariah Singer, age 30, 2025 State Route 555, Little Hocking, was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 26 May 2020 Deputy Aultman was dispatched to the Marathon Station, 17 Arrowhead Road, Little Hocking, to a report of a male individual in a Dodge vehicle parked in the middle of the parking lot.  It was reported that the male was unresponsive when an off-duty police officer at the scene attempted to made contact with him. The male was found slumped over the steering wheel of the vehicle, and after multiple attempts to wake him, he attempted to speak, however his speech was slurred.   The male was identified by his operator’s license as Kevin M. Christopher.  Multiple bags with a green leafy substance were found in plain view on the front driver and passenger side floor boards.  Also observed was a bag cooler with unopened beer, as well as multiple opened beer cans strewn throughout the vehicle.  Christopher was removed from the vehicle and patted down.  Deputy Aultman then located a sandwich bag in his front left pant pocket which contained a green leafy substance.  Christopher became belligerent cursing at responding Little Hocking Vol. Fire Department personnel and Deputy Aultman, using profanity and telling them “I’m minding my own business”.  Christopher was unsteady on his feet with glassy eyes and slurred speech. A total of 11 bags with green leafy substance were located with a total weight of 213.18 grams.  Also numerous items of drug paraphernalia were also located.  Kevin Michael Christopher, age 40, 102 Meadowview Drive, Canonsburg, PA, was taken for a BAC test, however refused.  Christopher was placed under arrest and charged with physical control of a motor vehicle, open container, drug paraphernalia, and trafficking in drugs.  Christopher was transported to the Washington County Jail where he remains.

Christopher Michael Ashbrook, age 35, 155 Lakeview Drive, Johnstown, OH, abduction, a felony out of Licking County, Ohio.

Joshua Leroy Gore, age 32, 130 Cemetery Drive, New Matamoras, OH, trespassing, a felony.

There are currently 15 female inmates and 63 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
