On 16 May 2020 Deputies responded to 1410 Barth Road, Belpre, OH, to a report of Paul Christopher discharging a firearm in the presence of Dillon Davis.  Davis was riding a motorcycle behind Christopher’s house when he heard a gunshot.  Davis stopped the bike and observed Christopher near the residence with a long gun, yelling for him to get off the property.  Davis immediately left and went home.  A witness heard a gunshot and saw Christopher walking back to his residence with a dark cherry colored shotgun type firearm and heard him yelling at Davis.  He stated he heard him tell Davis to get off his property.  Deputies met with Christopher who denied having a gun or shooting one on this date.  Christopher did admit to telling Davis to get off his property and not to come back, and grabbing a stick and trying to wreck Davis while he rode by on his bike.  Deputies also located a spent shotgun shell on the ground at the residence, however, Christopher refused to let Deputies search his residence for weapons stating there was no need.  Deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence and located a Glenfield 22 caliber long rifle, H & R 12 ga. shotgun, along with unspent 12 ga. slugs matching the casings found outside the residence.  Due to a previous conviction for weapons under disability, Paul Kenneth Christopher, age 50, 1756 Barth Road, Belpre, OH, was placed under arrest and charged with weapons under disability and aggravated menacing.  Christopher was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
