Washington County Jail – Lobby Access – COVID-19 Precautionary Measures


FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  By order of the Sheriff, effective immediately the Washington County Jail will be closed to all visitors to the jail to include public access in the lobby.  Restricted access will be granted to those personnel who are absolutely necessary for the operation of the jail.  Personnel who are absolutely necessary include, but may not be limited to; contracted and emergency healthcare providers, law enforcement, attorneys, clergy, contractors conducting critical on-site maintenance and government representatives and regulators and their contractors.

Those persons who are permitted entry will be screened prior to entering the facility in accordance with standard protocols issued by the Ohio Department of Health.

This action is being taken as a precautionary measure to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

The kiosk in the lobby of the jail will be restricted. To place money on an inmates account you may do so via the internet by logging on to http://www.accesscorrections.com or by calling 1-866-345-1884.

Video visitation may still be done by scheduling an off-site visit at www.icsolutions.com.
