The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
  Northern Meigs County in southeastern Ohio...
  Washington County in southeastern Ohio...
  Jackson County in southeastern Ohio...
  Athens County in southeastern Ohio...
  Vinton County in southeastern Ohio...

* Until 430 AM EST Tuesday.

* At 1026 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated gauges indicate that 1
  to two inches of rain has fallen. Additional light rain will fall
  into tonight. The Jackson County 911 center reported flooding
  along State Route 279 and also John Evans Road. The Ohio
  Department of Transportation reported flooding along State Route
  278 in Vinton County, and also State Route 681 and State Route 56
  in Athens County. Additional minor flooding is expected across the
  warned area as water drains through local creeks and streams.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Athens, Marietta, Belpre, Jackson, Wellston, Nelsonville,
  Mcarthur, Oak Hill, Beverly, Albany, Coolville, Lake Hope State
  Park, Vienna, Williamstown, Belmont, Tuppers Plains, Boaz, Newport
  and Chauncey.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Please report flooding to the National Weather Service by calling
toll free, 800 401 9535, when you can do so safely.
