On 24 Sep 19 Deputy Young was dispatched to 1308 Williamson Avenue, New Matamoras, OH, to a report of criminal damaging. Contact was made with Sabbrina Rutter and a juvenile witness. The witness stated she observed Charles J. Slonaker use a baseball bat to break the back window out of Rutter’s vehicle in the apartment complex parking lot. A summons is being requested for Charles James Slonaker, age 32, LKA: 502 ½ Broadway Avenue, New Matamoras, OH, on a charge of criminal damaging.
On 24 Sep 19 Deputy Brown met with an individual in Adams Township in reference to the damage done to a home/rental property. This case remains under investigation.
On 25 Sep 19 Sgt. McGilton began an investigation in reference to a dog belonging to Nicole and Jeremy Davis, 1072 Leith Run Road, New Matamoras, OH, running loose. The Davis’ dog continues to run loose. The dog is also over three months of age and is not registered, which was verified. A summons is being requested for Jeremy R Davis, for failure to restrain and Nicole Davis for failure to register and failure to restrain.
On 25 Sep 19 two dogs belonging to Jacqueline Steele, 505 Wynncrest Drive, Marietta, Ohio, ran loose from her property. Sgt. McGilton met with Steele who admitted to her dogs were loose on this date. A summons is being requested for Steele for failure to restrain her dogs.
On 25 Sep 19 Deputy Zide met with Larry Moore, Auto Teck and Tire, Marietta, OH, in reference to damage to a vehicle. This case remains under investigation.
On 25 Sep 19 Deputy Gainer met with Eric T. Kendall, who was being processed at the Washington County Jail, after being brought in my the Marietta Probation Department. While conducting a pat-down search of Kendall a small clear baggie of a green leafy substance was located on his person. Kendall advised this was in fact marijuana. Eric Todd Kendall, age 43, 220 Spring Street, Marietta, OH, was charged with possession of a controlled substance.
On 25 Sep 19 Deputy Schwendeman began an investigation into a possible domestic violence incident in Grandview Township. In speaking with all parties involved it was determined to be unfounded.
On 26 Sep 19 Deputy Carr met with Dan Morrison at his business, Riverview Auto Salvage, in reference to a theft at the Newport Township business This case remains under investigation.
On 26 Sep 19 Deputy Schwendeman responded to 1305 Goose Run Road, Marietta, Ohio, in reference to Levi J. Robinson at the residence yelling and cussing at the Perrine’s. Deputy Schwendeman was advised that Robinson had left the residence. The Perrine’s reported that Robinson came to the residence and an argument began between them. Robinson then picked up a chair and threw it across the room. Deputy Schwendeman met with Robinson later in the evening and he admitted to his turbulent behavior. A citation is being issued to Levi James Robinson, age 29, for disorderly conduct.
On 27 Sep 19 Deputy Brown began an investigation into a case of possible identity fraud. This case remains under investigation.
On 27 Sep 19 Deputy Zide was dispatched to the Washington County Career Center, 21742 State Route 676, Marietta, OH, reporting 2 students were allegedly high and that 1 student possessed a THC oil pen (smoking device). Deputy Zide met with all parties involved and Kyle Derenberger admitted to ownership of the item. A summons is being requested for Kyle Drew Derenberger, age 18, 1429 Hocking Road, Belpre, OH, for possession of a controlled substance.

Angela Sue Nutter, age 41, 4357 Laurel Creek Road, Waverly, WV, theft of a motor vehicle, theft of a firearm and breaking and entering, all felonies.
Scotty Joseph Byers, age 36, 1609 Pike Street, Parkersburg, WV, violation of a protection order, domestic violence, breach of recognizance, and interference with custody, all misdemeanors.
Mary Cathrine Schisler, age 61, 731 Sycamore Street, Unit 700A, Belpre, OH, public indecency, a misdemeanor, and illegal conveyance of drugs.
Logan Clayton Venham, age 23, 1060 Sugar Run Road, Marietta, OH, aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor, and probation violation, a felony.
Ross Lester Philips, age 32, 331 Main Street, Lower Salem, OH, domestic violence and contempt of court, both misdemeanors.
Nathan Scott Tewkesbury, age 34, homeless, petty theft, a misdemeanor.
Bradley Steven Wright, age 34, 1705 Harris Highway, Apt. 1, Washington, WV, driving under suspension.
There are currently 22 female inmates and 97 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
