On 18 Sep 19 Deputy J McConnell met with Jeri Campbell, Plum Run Road, Waterford, OH, who reported a theft at her residence.  The victim refused to have the suspect(s) prosecuted.  Case closed.

On 18 Sep 19 Clayton Sobers, 104 Wyandotte Drive, Marietta, OH, reported tires slashed to Deputy McKee.  This case remains under investigation.

On 20 Sep 19  Deputy Hall responded to the Marietta Bible Missionary Church, 70 Bramblewood Heights Road, Marietta, OH, in reference to a burglary complaint.  The pastor advised that he had noted things missing from the parsonage portion of the church.  Through investigation, it was determined that Carla Brooks may be involved.  Brooks was located and interviewed, admitting to being in the parsonage, but denied taking anything. Brooks then admitted to taking some clothing and began to retrieve the items.   Carla Marie Brooks, age 49, 276 Ridgewood Drive, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail and charged with burglary and criminal damaging.

On 20 Sep 19 at approximately 2111 hours Deputy White was dispatched to 2800 Beach Drive, Lot 60, Belpre, Ohio, to an assault complaint.  Michael Parsons reported he and his brother, Matthew, were sitting in Matthew’s vehicle in front of the residence when a green SUV pulled up and a male got out of the vehicle and approached the car.  The male, who Michael recognized as being Jason Haught, punched him on the right side of his face, and told him to get out of the vehicle to fight him. Michael refused to get out of the vehicle and Jason got back in his vehicle and left.  Lt. Gherke and Deputy White met with Jason Haught at his residence at 99 Cherry Hill Lane, Belpre, Ohio. Haught admitted to punching Michael in the face due to an issue he had with Michael. Haught also admitted to trying to get Michael to get out of the vehicle to fight him.  Jason J Haught, age 39, was placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail

Christophe Jerome Long, age 20, 309 Main Street, Lower Salem, OH, 2 counts probation violation, both misdemeanors.

Joseph Dexter Hesson, age 21, 6703 Silver Globe Road, Marietta, OH, driving under suspension, fictitious plates and probation violation, all misdemeanors.

Justin Dean Shutts, age 28, 819 Front Street, Marietta, OH, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs and driving under suspension, both misdemeanors.

Jennifer Lynne Jones, age 46, 1201 Poplar Street, Belpre, OH, assault, a misdemeanor.

Cameron Joe Wriston, age 20, 303 38th Street, Vienna, WV, theft, a felony.

Robert Justin Wells, age 38, 3491 E State Route 60, McConnelsville, OH, breaking and entering 2 counts, forgery 3 counts, theft, all felonies, and 1 count of theft, a misdemeanor.

Carrie Esther Maine, age 36, homeless, unauthorized use of motor vehicle 2 counts, breach of recognizance, obstructing official business and possessing drug abuse instruments, all misdemeanors.

Kevin Andrew Williams, age 31, homeless, possession of drugs, a warrant out of Belmont County, a felony, possessing drug abuse instruments and obstruction official business, misdemeanors.

Matthew Scott Saling, age 38, 1660 Cave Hill Road, Little Hocking, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Andreana Marie Workman, age 28, 1713 Park Street, Parkersburg, WV, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 20 female inmates and 100 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
