On 22 Aug 19 Deputy McKee completed a private property crash report for Matthew Liotti, Parkersburg, WV, when the vehicle he was operating struck a low hanging line at 1400 Pike Street, Marietta, OH.

On 21 Aug 19 a search was conducted in the female dorms at the Washington County Jail.  A broken tile was located in Linda Slonaker’s property, which originated in the female bathroom.  Slonaker denied breaking the tile but admitted to using the tile, stating the tile broke while she was in the shower, then changing her story to state it broke while she was sweeping the floor.  Deputy A McConnell charged Linda Elizabeth. Slonaker, age 36, with criminal damaging.

On 22 Aug 19 Deputy A McConnell received a warrant from Wood County, WV, for the arrest of Jason Daniel Knowlton, who was currently an inmate at the Washington County Jail.  The felony warrant was a charge of malicious wounding.  Information was compared with booking information received when Knowlton was processed into the Washington County Jail, finding him to be the individual wanted out of West Virginia.  A charge of fugitive from justice was filed on Knowlton, age 21, 45 North Lake Road, Vincent, OH.

On 22 Aug 19 Lt. Augenstein responded to Waterford, Ohio to meet with Daniel Miller in reference to a theft from the residence. This case remains under investigation.

On 23 Aug 19 Deputy Zide was patrolling State Route 7 near Ayers Boulevard when he observed a vehicle cross the fog line and remain there for some time before regaining its proper position in the roadway.  The vehicle was also traveling approximately 51 mph in the posted 60 mph zone.  A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver, Paula Lynne Hadley.  Deputy Zide noted Hadley had glassy and bloodshot eyes, stating she was just leaving the Golf Hazard (bar).  Hadley continued making darting eye contact.  Deputy Zide began a search of the vehicle with Hadley stating all items belonged to her.  The search revealed a crystal like substance, 2 oxycodone pills, a crack pipe with suspected meth residue, and other various drug paraphernalia.  Paula Lynne Hadley, age 56, 605 Pearl Street, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest for aggravated possession of drugs, possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia, OVI and marked lanes. Hadley was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

Darren Craig Farnese, age 25, 111 W. Montgomery Street, Apt. 13, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs, a felony.

Dustin Lee Brooks, age 32, 1776 Briggs Hill Road, Belpre, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Lee Anna Charlton, age 37, 1588 Federal Road, Little Hocking, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Gregory Allen Hart, age 29, 24096 Frostyville, Caldwell, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 25 female inmates and 97 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
