A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT WEST CENTRAL WASHINGTON...SOUTH CENTRAL MORGAN AND CENTRAL ATHENS COUNTIES... At 517 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located 7 miles east of Athens, moving northeast at 20 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Athens, Chesterhill, Amesville, Stroud Run State Park and Bartlett. This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
