OH Organized Crime Investigations Special News Release 7 Aug 19

An investigation by Agents of the Ohio Organized Crimes Investigations Commission, Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force was conducted in Marietta, Washington County, Ohio.
On 6 Aug 19 Agents along with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office SRT, executed a search warrant at 101 Ingleside Avenue, Marietta. Deputies located Jacqueline Cross and Dlontae Tolbert in the kitchen of the residence. Tolbert was next to the dryer where Agents located approximately 42.02 grams of heroin, a digital scale, and paper folds. Deputies conducted a search of Tolbert, finding a paper fold with .44 grams heroin, which matched, the paper folds previously found. A search of Cross revealed methamphetamine in a 1X1 plastic bag.
Brandon Layman and Courtney Hardy were located in the master bedroom. In the bedroom Agents located a plastic baggie containing a Suboxone strip, with Hardy’s OH identification card. While searching Layman, Agents located a syringe on his person and a spoon with heroin residue on the night stand next to him.
Agents also made contact with Matthew Scott, driver’s seat, and Alex Handschumacher, passenger’s seat, located in a Chevy truck parked in the driveway. A search of the truck revealed a “drug kit” containing a spoon with heroin residue, and a syringe. A spoon was located in the glove box that also contained heroin residue. A presumptive test was conducted on all drugs seized.
All individuals were placed under arrest and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
Dlontae Buster Tolbert, age 28, 5607 Bonaventure Drive, Hilliard, OH, arrested for trafficking heroin a felony of the 2nd degree. Brandon Paul Layman, 610 Second Street, Marietta, OH, arrested for possession of heroin, a felony of the 5th degree. Alex Jacks Handschumacher, age 41, 113 Dayton Road, Marietta, OH, arrested for possession of heroin, a felony of the 5th degree. Matthew Vernon Scott, age 33, 101 Ingleside Avenue, Marietta, OH, arrested for permitting drug abuse and possession of heroin, both felonies of the 5th degree. Jacqueline Nanette Cross, age 41, Sarahsville, OH, arrested for possession of methamphetamine, a felony of the 5th degree. Courtney Marie Hardy, age 30, 431 North 8th Street, Cambridge, OH, arrested for tampering with drugs a felony of the 3rd degree.
All individual appeared in Marietta Municipal Court and are being held on bond. Tolbert was given a $75,000 bond, Layman a $30,000 bond, Cross a $3,000 bond, Scott a $5,000 bond, Hardy a $3,000 bond, and Handschumacher a $2,500 bond.
