OH Organized Crime Investigations Special News Release 24 Jul 19
An investigation by Agents of the Ohio Organized Crimes Investigations Commission, Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force was conducted in Marietta, Washington County, Ohio.
On 23 Jul 19 Agents conducted a search warrant at a local motel/hotel in Marietta, Ohio. Ricky Lee Ridenour was located inside the room, along with a set of triple beam scales, digital scales, smoking pipes, 3 plastic baggies of suspect heroin, multiple plastic baggies, $4582 in cash, and multiple cell phones. The contents of the baggies were field-tested and yielded a positive indication for heroin. Ridenour claimed the heroin and paraphernalia as belonging to him.
The contents weighed 213. 02 grams, to include the weight of the packaging. Ricky Lee Ridenour, age 40, 74 Oak Street, Parkersburg, WV, was arrested and charged with a 1st-degree felony trafficking in heroin. Ridenour was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing and remained incarcerated until his appearance in Marietta Municipal Court on 24 Jul 19.
The Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force is part of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost’s Organized Crime Investigation Commission and is comprised of representatives of Post 84 of the Ohio State Highway Patrol; Washington, Morgan and Noble County Sheriff’s Offices; the Marietta, Belpre and McConnelsville Police Departments; and the Washington, Morgan and Noble County Prosecutor’s Office.
