On 8 Jun 19 Deputy Parks met with Robert Cline in reference to a stolen four-wheeler from Dunham Township.  This case remains under investigation.

On 9 Jun 19 Deputy Parks met with Charlotte Nichols in reference to an ATV being stolen from a shed on the property in Dunham Township.  This case remains under investigation.

On 9 Jun 19 Deputy Parks assisted a resident with information relating to possible telephone harassment.

On 9 Jun 19 Sgt. Holbert met with a subject in reference to damage done to property he owned.  This case remains under investigation.

On 10 Jun 19 Deputy Young was on patrol when he observed a fire at Lakeside Golf Course, 18218 SR 60, Beverly, Ohio.  The fire was under the wooden deck on the clubhouse.  Deputy Young advised dispatch to summon the fire department, with Beverly Waterford Fire Department responding soon after.   Deputy Young began working on the fire with his fire extinguisher and was able to extinguish the flames.  Fire department personnel continued to extinguish the hot spots on the deck.

On 10 Jun 19 Deputy Hall responded to HHI Auto Sales, Hocking Road, Belpre, OH, to a report of vehicle(s) being damaged.  This case remains under investigation.

On 10 Jun 19 Deputy McKee responded to Enterprise Drive, Davis Pickering, and Co., Inc. in reference to a scam.  This case remains under investigation.

On 10 Jun 19 Deputy Schwendeman responded to 3480 Dalzell Road, Whipple, OH.  Amy Medley reported she came home and discovered an unidentified male subject asleep on her front porch. Medley reported she believed the male was in her residence, as she found a partially empty bottle of water in the living room, which was still cold.  The male was advised of his rights and he identified himself as Elmer Wenzel, which was confirmed through an identification card.  Deputy Schwendeman located a shoe impression which matched the tread of the boots Wenzel was wearing.  Also noted was damage to a door jamb on the rear of the residence.  No items were found to have been taken from the residence other than the bottle of water.  Elmer Charles Wenzel, age 28, 17977 State Route 26, Reno, OH, was placed under arrest for burglary and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 10 Jun 19 at approximately 1753 hours Deputy White was dispatched to 87 Tower Road, Little Hocking, Ohio, in regards to a domestic dispute.   Lt. Gherke met with Shawn Strothers who was in an altercation with Angela Smith. Strothers stated they were in a verbal altercation that became physical when Smith began punching him with her fists.  Strothers had visible red marks on his chest and head.  Smith spoke with Deputy White and advised him that she and Strothers were in a verbal altercation involving him making accusations.  Smith stated while they were shouting at each other Strothers wrapped his arms around her to restrain her and prevent her from assaulting him.  Smith stated she broke free from being restrained and began scratching him (Strothers) in the chest and head, with Strothers going outside and the altercation ending.  Angela Marie Smith, age 40, 87 Tower Road, Little Hocking, OH, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Wayne David Miller, age 42, 2460 SR 145, Lower Salem, OH, contempt, failure to appear, a felony.

Brandon Lee Gibbs, age 26, 515 Smith Street, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Bryan Lee Eddy, age 28, 714 Fourth Street, Marietta, OH, violate a protection order, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 34 female inmates and 86 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
