On 8 Mar 19 Lt. Hunter met with James Greenwood, Greenwood Oil LLC, who reported a trailer stolen from Lawrence Township.  This case remains under investigation.

On 8 Mar 19 Sgt. Reeder responded to 199 Culver Run Road, Waterford, Ohio in regards to a criminal damaging complaint. Shane Morse reported 2 surveillance cameras he mounted on a shed were torn down by Danaus M. Rohrer.  Rohrer admitted to being angry with Morse and did, in fact, tear them down and burn them. A summons is being requested for Danaus Michael Rohrer, age 20, for criminal damaging.

On 8 Mar 19 Deputy H Tornes made contact with Rick McLaughlin, 100 Eyermann Road, Belpre, Ohio in reference to proper registration for his dog.  McLaughlin admitted he did not register his dog.  Deputy Tornes had previously met with McLaughlin in February regarding this registration.  A summons is being requested for Rick V. McLaughlin, age 61, for failure to register his dog.

On 8 Mar 19 Deputy H Tornes made contact with Peggy Truax, 1585 Elizabeth Street, Belpre, Ohio, in reference to having her dog registered for 2019.  In February Deputy Tornes met with Truax regarding this registration.  A summons is being requested for Peggy Jean Truax,  age 44, for failing to register her dog.

On 9 Mar 19 Deputy Brown responded to Camelot Road Lot 13, Belpre, Ohio, to a report of an underage party and loud music complaint. An odor of burnt marijuana was detected at the home, along with numerous juveniles.  Charles Whited was located at the residence and was walking past the deputies, towards the rear of the residence.  Whited was asked if he had anything on his person which may be illegal, at which time he admitted to having marijuana on his person.  A bag of suspected marijuana was removed from Whited’s shorts.  A citation for possession of marijuana was issued to Whited, age 18, 314 9 ½ Street, Parkersburg, WV.

On 10 Mar 19 Lt. Hunter completed a private property crash report for Andy Adams, 467 Highway 167 N.  Bald Knobs, AR.  Adams’ vehicle coasted backward down and over an embankment on County Road 9.

Nathan Dean Bomer, age 22, 104 Dunedin Road, Marietta, OH, OVI, a misdemeanor.

Michael Lee Wallace, age 31, 510 East Ohio Avenue, Mount Vernon, OH, on a warrant for theft, a felony, and 2 counts bad checks, both misdemeanors.

James Isaac Wood, age 23, 1334 Ruby Street, Moundsville, WV, driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, failure to control and no seatbelt, all misdemeanors.

Justin T. McCarter, age 42, 49200 Hickory Hill Road, Reedsville, OH, for 2 counts no operator’s license, no seatbelt, and OVI, all misdemeanors.

There are currently 13 female inmates and 102 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
