On 9 Jan 19 Deputy H Tornes responded to Gerald Gary’s residence in Dunham Township. A complaint had been received regarding Gary’s dog running loose on 7 Jan 19 and attacking a neighbor’s dog. Gary admitted to his dog running loose occasionally and he was advised that the dog was loose on 7 Jan 19. A summons is being requested for Gerald W. Gary, age 44, 2346 Sealy Ridge Road, Vincent, OH, for failing to restrain.
On 9 Jan 19 Deputies began investigating an incident involving text messages sent from one juvenile to another juvenile. The texts were threatening physical harm. Deputy McKee met with the suspect juvenile who admitted to sending the messages. The juvenile was taken into custody and charges of delinquency by aggravated menacing will be filed through Juvenile Court.
On 14 Jan 19 Deputy Jones began an investigation of criminal damaging to property caused by a vehicle. This case remains under investigation.
On 14 Jan 19 while patrolling State Route 7 near the intersection of Veto Road, Deputy J McConnell observed a car parked on the shoulder with its hazard lights on. A check was done on the driver to see if assistance was needed. The driver, identified as Kenneth Holbert, advised he had car trouble. A check of Holbert’s driving status showed that Holbert’s operator license was suspended. Kenneth D. Holbert, age 40, 407 Lord Street, Marietta, OH, was issued a citation for driving under suspension.

Michael Anthony Karcher, age 29, 706 9th Street, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Kelsey Grace Thompson, age 18, 117 Dean Street, Marietta, OH, possession of drugs, a felony, and driving under OVI suspension and possession of marijuana, both misdemeanors.
There are currently 20 female inmates and 94 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
