On 4 Dec 18 Deputy Gainer responded to a fire alarm in a Washington County Jail dorm. Dylan Tennant was observed standing on a table with water coming from the ceiling area. Upon inspection, it was determined the water was coming from an overhead sprinkler head on the ceiling. When asked who was responsible for the sprinkler being busted Tennant stated he had set it off. Through further investigating it was discovered that Tennant caused the activation of the fire alarm by “popping” the sprinkler head. This act diminished the effectiveness or availability of the sprinkler system. Tennant admitted to this act, stating he wanted out of lockdown. A charge of criminal mischief, a 5th-degree felony and disrupting public service, a fourth-degree felony were filed on Dylan Michael Tennant, age 21, 407 Franklin Street, Apt. A, Marietta, OH.
On 8 Dec 18 Deputy Metts responded to Turner’s One Stop, Waterford, Ohio, to a breaking and entering. This case remains under investigation.
On 8 Dec 18 Deputy Young began an investigation regarding a credit card being compromised. This case remains under investigation.
On 8 Dec 18 Deputy Metts began an investigation into a theft at the House of Wines. This case remains under investigation.
On 8 Dec 18 Bradley Gill, McDonald Road, Waterford, Ohio, was backing out of his driveway when he struck a vehicle belonging to Crystal Williams, Marietta, OH. Functional heavy/moderate damage was reported to both vehicles.
On 11 Dec 18 Deputy Zide along with the Fearing, Salem, Devola, Reno and Williamstown, WV, Volunteer Fire Departments were dispatched to 2229 Reeds Run Road, Whipple, Ohio, to a house fire.
