On 15 Nov 18 Sgt. Johnson met with Crystal Clevenger, State Route 821, Marietta, Ohio, in reference to a stolen cell phone. This case remains under investigation.
On 15 Nov 18 the Washington County Sheriff’s Office received notification that Tyler Goodwin was staying at 180 Main Street, Vincent, Ohio, while the homeowner was in jail. Deputy J McConnell and Lt. Augenstein responded to that location and attempted contact at all doors, however, no one would answer the door, even though people could be heard inside. Contact was made with the homeowner and a permission to search was given. A female immediately met with Deputies upon entering the home. Deputies advised they were looking for Tyler Goodwin and a male subject, who identified himself as Larry Goodwin, was located in the basement. Goodwin had no identification with him, however, a positive identification for Tyler Edward Goodwin was made with the assistance of Dispatch. Lt. Augenstein was also able to “Facetime” with Goodwin’s probation officers, who also advised the subject was, in fact, Tyler Goodwin. A search of Goodwin’s person revealed a small container with residue and paper folds in his pants pocket. Goodwin attempted to conceal a set of digital scales, snort tubes, and a small cutting tray on a couch. Also located was an orange capsule, identified as Dextroamphetamine Sulfate, a schedule ll controlled drug. Tyler Edward Goodwin, age 20, lka: 26935 State Route 7, Marietta, Ohio was placed under arrest on the five warrants and was also charged with obstructing official business, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Goodwin was transported to the Washington County Jail.
On 15 Nov 18 Lt. Hornbeck responded to 102 Handschumaker Road, in reference to a domestic violence complaint. Lt. Hornbeck met with Scott Handschumaker who advised he was to complete a child visitation exchange with his wife, Ashley Handschumaker. Scott stated when he arrived Ashley was in the driveway waiting. Scott said Ashley was angry he was running a few minutes behind. Scott states he was in the home getting his child ready when Ashley entered his residence without permission. Scott went on to state he told Ashley to get out of the house and he shut the door. Scott said when he returned to the door and opened it, the door may have hit Ashley. Ashley reported very similar circumstances, except she advised Scott was angry with her and when he opened the door, he hit her in the face with an open hand. When asked, Ashley advised she was not hit with the screen door. Scott Allen Handschumaker, age 34, 102 Handschumaker Road, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

Gary Lynn Harris, age 28, 17977 State Route 26, Reno, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Scott Allen Handschumaker, age 34, 102 Handschumaker Road, Marietta, OH, domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Andrew Adam Crites, age 37, homeless, domestic violence, breach of recognizance, obstructing official business and drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors.
Braden Douglas Lowe, age 22, 364 Indian Run Road, Marietta, OH, probation violation, a misdemeanor.
There are currently 18 female inmates and 96 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
