Kendall reported to Deputy Parks that after he noticed his ATVs missing he followed the tire tracks through his front yard and onto Upper Archers Fork Road. Kendall states he made contact with a township trustee and advised him what had occurred on his property.
Deputy Parks met with the township trustee who stated he saw the ATVs but did not think much about it, however it appeared to him that the second one was being towed.

Wells and Hendershot had left their two children, 10 months and 15 months, unattended in a vehicle while they were hiding the ATVs on the property at 4230 Archers Fork Road.
