On 28 Oct 18 Deputy Metts began an investigation in Lawrence Township in reference to stolen items from a vehicle. This case remains under investigation.
On 31 Oct 18 Deputy A McConnell was dispatched to Muskingum Township in reference to a possible domestic incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.
On 1 Nov18 Deputy A McConnell responded to State Route 555, Wesley Township in reference to a subject knocking on a door at approximately 0315 hours. Deputy McConnell located a truck in the yard of the residence with the flashers on. Contact was made with the driver, Stephen Sewell. A Busch beer can was observed in the console. An odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on/or about Sewell’s person. Sewell was asked how much he had to drink and he stated “a couple”. Sewell agreed to perform standard field sobriety tests, which he performed poorly on. Stephen Allen Sewell, age 27, 4345 State Route 500, Cutler, OH, was placed under arrest for driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs, a misdemeanor. Sewell was transported to the Washington County Jail and tested .182.
