At Approx 1150 hrs today’s date a major power outage occurred in the City of Marietta and surrounding areas.   Known areas for the outage are currently Marietta City and Devola.  The majority of the traffic lights are not working. Please treat any intersection like a 4-way stop until power can be restored.

The non-emergency line (740-376-7070) to the Sheriff’s Office is also not working due to this. If you have an emergency please dial 911.

AEP was contacted and advised the power is expected to be restored by 1630hrs.
