On 3 Oct 18 Sgt. Reeder responded to Main Street, Lower Salem, Ohio regarding the theft of a motor vehicle.

Ethan Wells reported while he was parked at 93 Main Street an unknown male came up to him, as he sat in his vehicle, punched him in the mouth and ordered him out of the car and onto the ground.  Wells stated he exited his vehicle and backed away as instructed. The unknown male then drove away in his vehicle, a 2006 Suzuki hatchback.

Deputies were able to locate this stolen vehicle at the Go-Mart in Williamstown WV.  The West Virginia authorities assisted Deputies and observed a subject walking in Williamstown, WV, who fit the description given by Wells.  The subject was identified as Travis Saling.   A photograph of Saling was shown to Wells who positively identified Saling as the subject who assaulted him and stole his vehicle.  Saling was placed under arrest by the Williamstown Police Department and charged with receiving stolen property.

Surveillance video from Go-Mart shows Saling pull into Go-Mart and walk away from the stolen vehicle.

Sgt. Reeder is requesting a warrant be issued for Travis Lewis Saling, age 27, 24530 McVicker Road, Summerfield, Ohio, for robbery, a 2nd-degree felony, theft of motor vehicle, a 4th-degree felony and assault, a 1st-degree misdemeanor.
