On 28 Sep 18 Deputy A McConnell responded to 11722 State Route 555, Cutler, Ohio to a report of a burglary.  Greg Mayle reported he was watching a home for Susan Harvey and Alexa Harvey,  the homeowners, while they were incarcerated.  Christopher N. Mayle is also a resident at this location.

Mayle reports multiple items were stolen from the residence and property. These items stolen include a riding mower, shop vac, heaters, jewelry, clothing, a dog, along with several other items.

Through the investigation and evidence gathered at the scene two male subjects were determined to be responsible for the burglary.  Jeremy Cremeans, living at 181 Cave Hill Road, Cutler, Ohio, and Michael Atkinson, living at 24717 Brimstone Road, Coolville, Ohio.

Deputies went to the residence of Cremeans and located similar shoe impressions from those at the scene.  Attempts to contact Cremeans were unsuccessful.

Detectives Smeeks and McPeek went to 24717 Brimstone Road and made contact with Michael Atkinson. Atkinson provided his shoes and they were a match for impressions found at the scene.  Other evidence was obtained from that location as well, however Atkinson denied consent for Detectives to search his property.

Deputies obtained search warrants for the Cave Hill Road and Brimstone Road properties and numerous stolen items were located at the Brimstone Road location.

Due to negative contact with Jeremy Allen Cremeans, age 32, LKA: 1545 Camp Hervida Road, Waterford, Ohio, a warrant is being requested on a charge of burglary, a 3rd degree felony.

Michael Ray Atkinson, age 37, was placed under arrest for burglary, a 3rd degree felony, and transported to Washington County Jail for processing.  Atkinson appeared in Marietta Municipal Court on 1 Oct 18 and his being held on a $5000 bond.
