2 Arrested for Drug Trafficking

An investigation by Agents of the Ohio Organized Crimes Investigations Commission, Washington Morgan Noble Major Crimes Task Force resulted in drug trafficking and weapons under disability charges.
On 30 Sep 18 Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office were called to 354 Stanley Mills Road, Little Hocking, in reference to a verbal argument at the home. While investigating this incident, Deputies discovered a stolen Toyota Camry.
The Toyota Camry was entered as stolen by the Whitehall Police Department earlier in September.
On 14 Sep 18 Agents conducted a drug trafficking investigation involving a Steven Simons and Shannon Ewing in which the two sold approximately 3.28 grams of methamphetamine. Ewing and Simons were operating stolen Toyota Camry at that time.
Based on the investigation conducted, Agents obtained a search warrant for the residence at 254 Stanley Mills Road.
During the search Agents located a loaded 380 Cobra handgun, an empty holster and ammo. The holster and ammo were located in an area of the home where Simons is believed to be on a daily basis, namely his closet. Simons is currently under disability from owning or possessing a firearm. Simons has been convicted of felonious assault in 2008 by the Columbus Police Department.
Shannon Marie Ewing, age 30, 354 Stanley Mills Road, Little Hocking, Ohio, was placed under arrest and charged with trafficking in drugs, a third degree felony. Ewing appeared in Marietta Municipal Court and received a $5000 bond.
