On 17 Sep 18 Deputy McKee began an investigation in reference to a scam involving subject(s) requesting Home Depot gift cards.  This case remains under investigation.

On 18 Sep 18 Deputy McKee began an investigation in reference to a utility box being tampered with.  This case remains under investigation.

On 19 Sep 18 Lt. Augenstein began an investigation in reference to identity fraud.  This case remains under investigation.

On 19 Sep 18  Deputy A McConnell responded to the Dollar General, 336 Orchard Drive, Little Hocking, Ohio, in reference to a theft.  The store personnel had the female on video and through investigation it was learned that the subject was Lacee Butler, age 34, 28364 Osborne Road, Coolville, OH.  Butler admitted to stealing several items from the store and the items were returned to the store.  A summons is being requested for Butler for theft.

On 19 Sep 18 Andrew Morris reported tires, wheels and a radio stolen from a 1989 Chevrolet Camaro while parked at 14401 SR 550, Vincent, Ohio.  This case remains under investigation. (507)

On 19 Sep 18 Deputy Parks was dispatched to 95 Sandhill Road, Marietta, to a drunk male being belligerent, and banging on doors.  Deputy Parks was advised the male was in the Church of Christ bathroom cleaning himself up.  Contact was made with the male, identified as Kyle Andrew Dent, age 25, who produced a used syringe out of his front pants pocket, stating he had shot up with “ice”.  Dent was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Dent was transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 20 Sep 18 Deputy Parks was dispatched to Lowell, where Gerald Parker reports being assaulted.   Parker was in Lowell looking for scrap metal when he was approached by a male asking why he was “prowling around”.  Parker advised the male continued accusing him and questioning him about leaving screws lying around.  The male reportedly shoved Parker and after a physical altercation began advised Parker he had a gun. Parker took Deputy Parks to the location of the male subject, being 227 Fourth Street.  Deputy Parks made contact with Rocky Dustin Huck who admitted to following Parker around Lowell in order to confront him, however denies hitting or threatening him.  Huck also denied telling Parker he had a gun.  A summons is being requested for Huck, age 37, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

On 20 Sep 18 Sgt. McGilton and Deputy H Tornes were on patrol and observed an emaciated Pitbull dog chained to the porch of 103 Chapel Avenue, Marietta, later found to be padlocked to the dog collar.  Deputies approached the residence and observed the dog’s ribs, backbone and hip bones protruding.  No food or water was present.  Jennifer Lyons met with Deputies and advised that she and her husband owned the dog, and that the dog was abused by a previous owner prior to her having possession (approximately one week).  Lyons stated the dog had food and water the previous night, and was fed twice a day.  In speaking with other witnesses it was determined that the dog had been with the Lyons family for approximately two months and had actually lost weight since they obtained it.  It was also determined that the dog was left outside tied up because it was hyper.  Lyons eventually admitted that they had run out of dog food and were feeding the dog table scraps.  Lyons agreed to surrender the dog which was then assessed by a veterinarian.  The dog was dehydrated and scored a 3 of 9 on body condition and weighed 33 pounds.   On 24 Sep 18 the dog was weighed again finding it to weigh 36 pounds.  A summons is being requested through Marietta Municipal Court for cruelty to a companion animal for Jennifer Lynn Lyons, age 38, and Jesse Lyons, age 39.

On 24 Sep 18 Deputy Parks was dispatched to Germantown Road, Lower Salem, Ohio.  Noah and Isaiah Rutter reported walking down the road when Terry Clifton struck Isaiah with a club three times.  Deputy Parks spoke to all parties and will be requesting a summons for Terry Aldwin Clifton, age 44, 6466 Germantown Road, Lower Salem, Ohio, on a charge of disorderly conduct.   Isaiah Thomas Rutter, age 28, 6500 Germantown Road, Lower Salem, Ohio, was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and probation violation and was trnasporrt3ed to the Washington County Jail.

The following defendant was sentenced in Common Pleas Court:

Jamil Adrian Cabral, age 26, 10261 Jamaica Avenue, Queens, NY, 9 months at Orient, trafficking in drugs, a third degree felony.

The following subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Monday 24 Sep 18 and Tuesday 25 Sep 18:

Dalton Lee Burt, age 25, 430 Spears Hill Road, Stockport, OH, for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

Timothy Wayne Snyder, age 37, 3543 Tick Ridge Road, Vincent, OH, on warrants for probation violation and license suspension.

Stephanie Nicole Cremeans, age 33, 2100 Mines Road, Waterford, OH, for abusing harmful intoxicants, a misdemeanor.

Rachael Kay Sweet, age 25, 219 Grand Avenue, Akron, OH, on a warrant for failure to appear, a felony, breach of recognizance and two counts of sexual imposition, all misdemeanors.

Terry Mitchell Gibson, Jr., age 37, 915 Cisler Drive, Marietta, OH, for theft, a misdemeanor.

Isaiah Thomas Rutter, age 28, 6500 Germantown Road, Lower Salem, OH, for probation violation and disorderly conduct, both misdemeanors.

Lauren Michelle Sarringhousen, age 20, 1005 Orchard Street, Apt. 1, Marietta, OH, for falsification, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 27 female inmates and 89 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
