THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CHARLESTON, WV HAS EXTENDED THE FLOOD WARNING FOR NORTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON COUNTY IN SOUGHT EASTERN OHIO UNTIL 10 PM TUESDAY.

AT 3:03 PM, DUCK CREEK IN MACKSBURG IS CURRENTLY RUNNING OUT OF IT’S BANKS NEARLY AT 14 FEET. THE WATER IS CRESTING, BUT MORE RAINFALL LATER THIS AFTERNOON MAY KEEP IT ABOVE FLOOD STAGE THROUGH THE DAY. AT STAGE 13 TO 15 FEET, BROAD ST MACKSBURG STARTS TO FLOOD AND HOMES ON THE LEFT BANK MAY FLOOD.
SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE MARIETTA, LOWELL, MACKSBURG, LOWER SALEM, AND DEVOLA.
TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.
PLEASE REPORT FLOODING TO YOUR LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY WHEN YOU CAN DO SO SAFELY.
