On 6 Aug 18 Lt. Hunter met with an employee of T. Steele Construction regarding a theft of a Predator 4000 generator, along with wrenches at a job site located at 105 Smithberger Drive, Lower Salem, OH.  This case remains under investigation.

On 7 Aug 18 Deputy Zide met with members of the Village of Macksburg garage in reference to missing items.  This case remains under investigation.

On 8 Aug 18 Deputy A McConnell met with Sherri Merckle, 805 State Route 260, New Matamoras, Ohio, in reference to a stolen item.  This case remains under investigation.

On 8 Aug 18 Deputy Johnson responded to Lawrence Township to a possible domestic.  In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

On 8 Aug 18 Deputy A McConnell responded to Grandview Township to a possible domestic.  In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.

On 10 Aug 18 Deputy McKee responded to Par Mar, Little Hocking to a report of a suspicious vehicle.   Prior to Deputy McKee arriving the individual left and proceeded to the Dollar General in Little Hocking.  The vehicle was located and the individual in the driver’s seat was identified as Amy Leedy, 45669 Miller Road, Pomeroy, Ohio.    Leedy was issued a citation for no operator’s license.

On 10 Aug18 Deputy McKee met with Natasha Wagner who reported she was assaulted by her husband, Jason Hill,  at 240 Francis Road, Lowell, Ohio.   Wagner stated she arrived at the residence to retrieve property and when Hill answered the door he refused her entry.   Wagner states Hill then slammed the door shut and then opened it back up and slapped her across the face with an open hand.  Hill admitted he slammed the door and that Wagner’s arm may have been in the doorway, but denied slapping her.  Jason Allen Hill, age 30, 240 Francis Road, Lowell, OH, was arrested for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail.

On 10 Aug 18 Deputy Hall met with Christopher Krueger, 8500 Dalzell Road, Lower Salem, Ohio, regarding damage to vehicle tires.  This case remains under investigation.

On 12 Aug 18 Deputy Schwendeman met with Michael Hardie, 19965 State Route 550, Marietta, in reference to items removed from his vehicle.  This case remains under investigation.

On 12 Aug18 Deputy Hall responded to 17651 County Nine Road, New Matamoras, Ohio, to a possible domestic violence situation between Quinton Humphrey and Sarah Dunn.  Dunn stated Humphrey had thrown a flashlight at her on 11 Aug after an argument.  Dunn states Humphrey punched her in the face and broke her phone today sparking her to call for help. Humphrey was located and interviewed.  Humphrey denied throwing the flashlight, however accidentally hit her in the face and threw her phone during an argument.  Quinton Michael Humphrey, age 20, 17651 County Road 9, Marietta, OH, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.

The following subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Friday 10 Aug 18 and Monday 13 Aug 18:

Bradley Louis Demster, age 31, 3620 Duvall Road, McConnelsville, OH, for probation violation and driving under the influence, misdemeanors.

Jason Allen Hill, age 30, 240 Francis Road, Lowell, OH, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Kenneth Ray Rogers, age 31, 801 ½ Front Street, Marietta, OH, for driving under suspension, a misdemeanor.

Christopher Corey Griffin, age 34, 52031 Rye Road, Reedsville, OH, for receiving stolen property and failure to appear, both felonies.

Kevin Ray Blackburn, age 32, 2340 Sealey Ridge Road, Vincent, OH, for no operator’s license, a misdemeanor.

Gary Lee Mitchell, age 48, 16131 SR 821, Macksburg, OH, for criminal damaging/endangering, a misdemeanor.

Michelle Lee Tornes, age 48, 30 Davis Road, Waterford, OH, for driving while under the influence of alcohol, disorderly conduct and left of center, all misdemeanors.

Wesley Ian Miller, age 31, 12020 Waterford Road, Waterford, OH, for tampering with drugs, trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs and probation violation, all felonies.

Mckenzie Ann Cowman, age 25, 814 Seneca Drive, Belpre, OH, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Joseph Brett Knowlton, age 36, 5494 Pounds Road, Glouster, OH, for driving while under the influence of alcohol, drug paraphernalia, obstructing official business and possession of drugs, all misdemeanors.

Quinton Michael Humphrey, age 20, 17651 County Road 9, Marietta, OH, for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Brian Keith Hitchcock, age 39, 106 S. Second Street, Marietta, OH, for probation violation, a misdemeanor.

There are currently 21 female inmates and 86 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
