On 10 Jul 18 Deputy Schwendeman along with the Little Hocking and Dunham Volunteer Fire Departments responded to 2836 Sealy Ridge Road, to a fire of an electric box attached to a house. The fire was extinguished.
On 11 Jul 18 Sgt. Holbert responded to Waterford Township in reference to a possible domestic incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.
On 11 Jul 18 Gerald Antill, State Route 7, Marietta, Ohio, reported a theft at his residence. This case remains under investigation. (799)
On 11 Jul 18 Deputy J McConnell began an investigation at Barlow Par Mar reference stolen items. This case remains under investigation.
On 11 Jul 18 Deputy Johnson responded to Warren Township in reference to a possible domestic incident. In speaking with all parties it was determined to be unfounded.
On 12 Jul 18 Deputy Metts and Deputy A. McConnell were dispatched to 1420 Milner Road, Waterford, Ohio, where Ashley Ball reported being assaulted by her husband, Jerry Ball. Ashley had called her husband, Jerry Ball, to pick her up from the Moose Lodge in Lowell. Ashley reported after arriving home Jerry assaulted her when she was trying to go to bed. Jerry Eugene Ball, age 62, was placed under arrest for domestic violence and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing. Ashley did request a protection order.
On 12 Jul 18 at approximately 0600 hrs. Deputy Jones was stationary at Speedway, Seventh Street, Marietta, Ohio. A male individual identified as Aaron Wesley Cain, age 37, 16687 Crooked Tree Road, Dexter City, Ohio, requested assistance with his vehicle. Cain advised his battery in his vehicle was dead. Upon making contact with Cain, Deputy Jones observed him pacing back and forth in the parking lot as he was trying to communicate with him. Cain’s pupils were extremely constricted, and he was swearing profusely. Cain was asked if he had taken any prescribed medication. Cain advised that he did earlier in the morning. Cain’s speed was also slurred. Cain then stated that he done a “piece” of meth earlier that morning. Cain was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
The following subjects were processed into the Washington County Jail between Thursday 12 Jul 18 and Friday 13 Jul 18:
James Robert Rodes, age 39, 697 Virginia Street, Marietta, Ohio, for two counts of driving under suspension and no seatbelt, all misdemeanors.
Alisha Marie Harris, age 27, 122 Frederick Street, Marietta, Ohio, for probation violation, a misdemeanor.
Deane Allen Beck, Jr., age 38, 1111 W. Montgomery Street, Marietta, Ohio, for parole violation, a felony.
Zachary Allen Myers, age 28, 815 Quarry Street, Marietta, Ohio, for felonious assault, a felony.
There are currently 20 female inmates and 85 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
