On 6 Jul 18 Deputy Johnson responded to 3156 State Route 555, Little Hocking, Ohio, to a report of domestic violence. Katelyn Cain reported Isaiah Mayle came to the residence to pick up some belongings, and started throwing items all over the bedroom, as well as damaging items belonging to Cain. Cain states she was afraid for her safety and called for assistance. Isaiah Scott Mayle, age 21, 1831 McNeal Road, Waterford, Ohio, was located and after speaking with Mayle he was placed under arrest and charged with domestic violence. He was transported to the Washington County Jail for processing.
On 7 Jul 18 Deputy Johnson initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Teia Boxberger and passenger as Edward Thompson. Boxberger explained she had no valid operator’s license. Boxberger further advised she had a box of needles but claimed they were for a medical condition. In checking the box of needles there were multiple baggies with residue, including one baggie with suspected methamphetamine. Boxberger stated she found this baggie and picked it up so her dog wouldn’t get it. Teia Maria Boxberger, age 36, homeless, was placed under arrest for possession of methamphetamine and possessing drug abuse instruments. Edward James Thompson Jr., age 34, 2065 Robinson Hill Road, Marietta, Ohio, was placed under arrest on a warrant for theft.
On 7 Jul 18 Lt. Hornbeck and Deputy J McConnell responded to 1910 State Route 550, Cutler, Ohio, to a report of a felonious assault. Wesley Volunteer Fire Department Squad was also dispatched regarding a child being shot with a pellet gun. Caitlin Ruble reported she was putting her child in a relative’s car when she heard her name. Ruble stated as she turned she observed Aaron Goins standing outside the residence at 1830 State Route 550 pointing, what she believed to be, a pellet gun at her. Ruble advised she heard a shot and then her child started screaming and crying. Ruble stated she then located a mark on the child’s left knee. Deputies did observe a laceration and red mark on the child’s knee. After speaking with all witnesses and meeting with Aaron Goins, he denied shooting the child. Goins was advised what would happen reference charges and he became visibly upset, making threats to Ruble. Goins was escorted away from the area and advised to cease and desist in his actions. Goins continued to yell at individuals at the scene, and returning to the scene after being advised not to. Aaron Christopher Goins, age 46, was placed under arrest for aggravated menacing, disorderly conduct, and felonious assault.
On 8 Jul 18 Deputy Metts responded to 482 Morris Loop Road, Marietta, regarding a verbal dispute between George Harris and Dorothy Prince. Sgt. Reeder and Deputy Metts made contact with Prince, noting a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage about her person and slurred speech. Harris explained Dorothy was intoxicated and that is why they were arguing. Prince became loud and began cursing at Deputies, after being asked to calm down several times. Prince continued being loud and cursing and was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct by intoxication. Dorothy Jean Prince, age 40, 12395 CR 9, Newport, was was transported to the Washington County Jail where she refused to submit to a PBT.
On 8 Jul 18 Tiera Arnold Worstell, 2429 Veto Road, Vincent, Ohio, reported a trailer and 5 kayaks removed from her property. This case remains udner investigation. (507)
On 10 Jul 18 an investigation by Det. Sgt. Smeeks began at the Washington County Jail, 101 Westview Avenue, Marietta, Ohio, of possible sexual assaults by a female inmate. The investigation revealed Rachel Kay Sweet was brought to the Washington County Jail on a charge of theft and criminal damaging. It was reported that Sweet had touched other incarcerated women inappropriately, as well as exposing herself to others. Det. Sgt. Smeeks interviewed Sweet who admitted to the allegations. Two counts of sexual imposition charges were filed on Rachel Kay Sweet, age 25, 219 Grand Avenue, Akron, Ohio, through Marietta Municipal Court, both 3rd degree misdemeanors.

Chastity Ann Carver, age 42, 1020 Caywood Road, Marietta, Ohio, on a warrant for contempt of court, misdemeanor.
David Andreas Decker, age 25, 522 ½ Third Street, Marietta, Ohio, for domestic violence and breach of recognizance, misdemeanors.
Samantha Claudette Lemon, age 36, 504 West Street, Belpre, Ohio, on a warrant for trafficking in drugs, a felony, and 3 counts driving under suspension, 3 counts expired plates, fictitious plate, misdemeanors.
Michael Kevin Price, age 48, Weil Street, Bethlehem, PA, on warrants for probation violation, breach of recognizance and theft, misdemeanors.
There are currently 23 female inmates and 85 male inmates being housed in the Washington County Jail.
