A wreath laying ceremony will be held at the Marietta City building, corner of Third and Putnam Streets in Marietta, Ohio. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard will present the Colors and escort of any department or office who wish to participate. There will be a prayer, moment of silence, then the wreaths will be placed. This will be followed by brief speeches from local law enforcement officials and other dignitaries.
Amazing Grace will be performed by Special Deputy Alex Canavan on bagpipes at the conclusion of the ceremony.
Following, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office will place a wreath at the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Division, 309 Fourth Street.
